Persuasive Essay On Off Campus Lunch

School campus lunch is disgusting because it is all slobbery and it is not made homemade. It is not even fresh! The food is so bitter from coming from the freezer and when you take a bite, it feels hard like a rock where it just can break your teeth. The food is so bland it does not taste like anything and one time I found a piece of hair on my food that was obviously not mine. The food is so fake to the point where it is not even made properly. The hamburgers are literally deformed.

The food is really hot from overheating it and then students burn their mouth which is so painful! School lunch is really intriguing since foreign objects are found. The Summit staff must think we are animals to eat this kind of food. School lunch is a controversial topic because the Summit Shasta staff is getting complaints from students that the food is not appetizing which is discouraging them from eating. Students believe that Summit Shasta should allow students to decide what they want to eat.

Students with eating disorders would benefit from this because what every their problem is they will find food that they can eat that would not cause them any health symptoms. If the students want to go for a healthier option or just want to buy snacks from vending machines or eat at a fast food establishment or restaurant, they should be allowed to make that decision. Students need to learn how to be responsible due to the fact that one day these teenagers will be adults and they will have to do stuff on their own that is why if Summit Shasta students were given this opportunity it would help them excel in the future.

Students are not eating their lunches which leads to decreased academic performance in the classroom. In order to id students productivity, students should be allowed to eat lunch off-campus. If students are allowed to eat lunch off campus, they will be able to concentrate better during PLT and project time because students are not eating due to the fact that students choices of food are limited. Additionally, this would aid the local economy due to the fact that students are purchasing goods from the businesses in Daly City.

If we do not develop good eating habits at this impressionable time in our lives, then we will lack these necessary skills for the future. One eason our school, Summit Shasta, needs to have off-campus school lunch is because students will focus better in class because eating food helps boost students’ metabolism. The article Healthy Kids Eat Better states that “Kids who eat healthier and move more perform better in school. Studies show that healthy kids get better grades, attend school more often and behave better in class. Allowing off campus lunch involves physical activity since students are getting exercise as they are walking to a certain food establishment. Students would be able to eat food during lunch time and to exercise, which will improve students academic performance in class, help them complete more work. Giving students permission to have off campus gives students a break from the school environment and a chance for them to get fresh ir and stretch since they have been sitting down for long periods of time.

Even though lunch on school campus has a basketball court and an area where to walk sometimes students want to go somewhere new which is why students at Summit Shasta should be allowed to have off-campus lunch.
