I’m glad I was able to push myself to get to that point! It was my mission to change everything about me, that I could change with exercise. Whenever I started talking to people about it, they talked as though it was impossible to do. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I knew that couldn’t be right! That caused me to research my theory, to see if it was true. Once I was able to find information that supported my theory, I started to create a plan to get my desired result. I stood in the mirror and looked at all the things about me, that I felt like I could change.
My first focus was, targeting the things that I’d heard people say, exercise couldn’t change. I started looking at who was saying it couldn’t be done. My first thought was, they gave up too quick. That’s the one thing that I didn’t want to do! I did it like that because, after hearing it so much, they almost had me believing the flaws were unchangeable. Something in me kept telling me to keep fighting because it wasn’t true. I believed that all I had to do was, stick with it to get the results I wanted. One of my biggest challenges was cellulite. It looked like the cellulite just invaded my body and took over.
It seemed like it just popped up, out of nowhere. I got tired of looking at my dented arms, legs, butt and thighs. Thad plenty of dimples, but they weren’t from smiling. I felt like dimples were supposed to only be on my cheeks. Being anywhere else on my body, was just plain unattractive to me. I wasn’t gonna rest, until I was able to change that horrible sight! Another one of my biggest challenges was belly fat. Every day, I’d look in the mirror at that saggy belly. Knowing that thoughts could sabotage results, I had to fight, everything I ever heard people say about stubborn belly fat.
Looking at that sad and saggy belly, made me feel sad at times, just from looking at it. I was determined not to let a FAT saggy belly, of all things, get the best of me! My biggest challenge of all, was stretch marks. Soon as the children came, so did the stretch marks. I never thought that after having children, that my body would’ve been covered with stretch marks. Whenever I looked in the mirror, I couldn’t stand looking at the site of all those ugly stretch marks. It seemed like they wouldn’t ever go away! I’d look at my arms, my chest, my stomach, my thighs, my butt my knees and my legs.
I’d concentrate on each area, while thinking about the type of workouts I needed to do to get rid of the stretch marks. My next focus was toning, sculpting and flexibility. I focused on these three areas together, because they go hand and hand. I constantly looked in the mirror at my flabby wings, butt and thighs. I’d try to imagine myself being toned and sculpted. I also tried to imagine how long it would take to get there. My flexibility was stiff as a board, compared to what it was when I was younger. I began to imagine myself being more flexible, than I’d ever been.
Considering that I’d always wanted to be able to do a split, I began to imagine myself doing splits. One of the smartest things I ever did was, make my daily workouts, a way of life. It has increased my quality of life. I made working out a priority! I’d say to myself every day, “Regardless to what do or don’t get done today–Me getting a workout in, have to happen! ” That’s when I first started planning my workouts differently. Instead of trying to plan my workouts around my daily activities, I started planning everything around my workouts. If I missed days of exercising, I’d suffer from constant body aches.
I was very impressed with how I was feeling, once I made it a priority to work out every day. I felt much lighter on my feet. I was able to move around much better. I noticed that my thoughts were much clearer. Exercising made my body aches go away. Consistent exercising, has made a big improvement in my blood pressure. It reduced the cellulite. I was able to get rid of the FAT saggy belly and tone my stomach. It reduced the stretch marks. I became flexible enough to be able to do the splits. I also became flexible enough to be able to touch my knees with my nose, while standing up. Teven got compliments on looking younger.
Working on these areas turned out much better | thought it would. When I realized how simple it was, I was wishing that I’d done it sooner. It would’ve saved me a whole lot of embarrassment and unnecessary misery. In spite of all the negative feedback that I’d heard about improving different parts of the body, I kept moving forward. I knew it was possible to get the type of results that I was looking to get. It was too many good examples of people who had already reached that goal, for me not to keep going. During that time, I didn’t let nothing and nobody, interfere with me making it to the gym.
After|| began to see my results, I was more than glad that I ignored all the noise I heard about improving your physical appearance, and toughed it out! I always believed that my results would be awesome. I just didn’t know that the results would be as awesome as they turned out! One of the best parts I like about it the most is, I’ve been seeing results and getting compliments– and I’m still not finished! Since daily exercise has become a way of life for me, my days can’t be complete without it! Through my research and experiences, I’ve learned that daily exercise is good for way more than I’d imagined!
