Personal Narrative: My Journey To Colorado Essay

One rainy day two girls named Lisa and Erin were driving to Colorado because they rented a cabin for the weekend. When they got to Colorado they stopped at the gas station for so gas. Lisa asked the cashier if they were going in the right direction to the cabin? The cashier said that they were going the right way but would take a will to get there. They spent three hours driving and then they see a sign that says Summer Lake Forest on it. Erin checked her phone to see if they where in the right spot and it said they were.

There were a series of different paths to take and they thought they were going to get lost. There were so many other cabins there some were big and some were small. “I hope we get a good sized cabin for as much as we spent on it” said Lisa. The GPS had then take the next right in a quarter mile and that’s what they did. Then Erin’s phone died, she didn’t even charge the battery before they left for the trip for some reason. Lisa told Erin to get the charger from out of her bag in the back of the car.

Erin climbed to the back if the car and rummaged through Lisa’s bag and said “I don’t see it in here. ” “Here let me see it, I bet you its in there. ” said Lisa The minute that Lisa took her eyes of the rode the car hit a pot hole and they drove off the road and ran in to a tree. “Erin are you okay, can you hear me? ” Lisa said with all her strength. “Yah but, I think that my leg is broken though. ” Erin said Lisa got out of the car so she could go to the other side of the car. The car boor was jammed so she went to the back to get a crowbar.

After a while the boor finally popped opened. Erin wanted to get out but went she hit the floor you could hear a pop coming rom her leg and she screamed out in pain. Lisa quickly picked Erin up from the damp floor “you stay here while I check to see if my phone will still work out here” Lisa said. She went to the other side of the car but when she go there her phone was crushed from the car hitting the tree. “Now we have no idea were we are, and both of our phones are destroyed.

“Let’s just go back to the road and see if we can find a cabin that has a phone in it. said Erin “Okay let’s go” said Lisa “I think the road was that way come on. ” While Lisa was helping Erin walk they both had no water or food and they both were getting thirsty and hungry. By the time it was dark they were officially lost in the forest and they have no idea were they are going. It was getting really cold so they stop for a while but then they heard what sounded like somebody walking and they were so frightened that they got up and walked as fasts as they could to get away.

When they were walking they kept on hearing crunch, crunch, crunch from the leaves on the ground behind them so they tried to walk faster and faster. Lisa looked behind them in curiosity to see what was following them and when she looked it was a fox, but just about thirty feet behind it was a man with something in his hand that looked like a knife. Suddenly Lisa and Erin tried to run as fast as they could but since Erin’s leg was broken they guy was a little faster then they were. The guy was not running to them witch was a good thing but was weird.

Erin had now idea why they were running so she decided to look behind her. When she saw the guy they both fell down because Erin tripped over her own feet and Erin started to cry because she thought she was going to die that day. The closer the guy came closer was so terrifying and each second felt like an hour. Then as the guy was about fifteen feet away he started to wave with his knife. When he was right in front of us his knife suddenly became a map of the forest. “Do you need help getting out of here? ” said the guy “Yes” they both said

The hospital said that Erin’s leg was not broken but her ankle was. Erin had to stay over night to the cast on her foot so Lisa waited. Lisa went the guy in the wood because he was still at the hospital. She asked him how he new that they were there. He said that she had left her charger at the gas station, so he wanted to return it and since he knew were they were going he followed the map he had. But then he saw the skid marks on the road and followed them to were the car was and followed there foot prints in the mud because it had rained and then he had found them.
