First of all, the article is written by a person who worked and knew Gandhi; therefore this source is a primary source and gives facts and more in depth details to what happened to Gandhi.

However, as a result, from this article being written by a person who knew Gandhi there is bias, and people may think otherwise of the event that is occurred. In addition, the article doesn’t just give plain facts, the author tells a story that happened to Gandhi while he accompanied him; therefore this may make the article more engaging. Of course, by having the article being a primary source, we will not get to see the aftermath of the event. The article is a higher reading level because it contains figurative language.

For example, it uses a metaphor to compare his feeling and attitude towards this event and his physical appearance by saying “An infinite tenderness and compassion shone from his eyes. ” On the other hand, the article doesn’t offer any further background knowledge about MAhatma Gandhi. “Poems on Gandhi. ” A Poem on Gandhi : Poems on Mahatma Gandhi. , n. d. In the poem, “A Poem on Gandhi” a former student it really paints a picture on what kind of person Gandhi was to many people. It gives an image of his personality by saying, “Truth and nonviolence is what he taught. Same were the principles for which he fought. It also gives perspective from a person whose life was changed by Gandhi and the way he taught. Although, of course having it written by a person who is inspired by and admires Gandhi there is bias, because others may differ in opinion. The poem is fairly easy to read with no really challenging words in it. On the other hand, the article doesn’t give any background knowledge about Gandhi; therefore you may need to know who Gandhi is before you read the poem.

Also, the poem only gives some facts about what Gandhi did; however they are less reliable because they may have words in there to make the poem sound better/ smoother. The quote is a primary source because, it was said straight from Gandhi. Although the source is not reliable because we don’t know fo sure if Gandhi said the quote. In addition, the quote paints some kind of who Gandhi was as a person because, the quote shows how he thought people should be/ become. Furthermore, since Gandhi is the one saying it is bias because people may think different then Mahatma Gandhi does.

The quote is also motivational by saying, “Be the change you want to see in the world,” may have people really think and do something. In the video about Mahatma Gandhi, it shows/ provides many visuals. The video provides many visuals throughout the video about what they are talking about and of Gandhi. Nevertheless, the in parts of the video it is hard to see the picture and here what the people are saying.

There is a part in the video where Gandhi is actually talking and says one of his speeches, saying what he believes in and standing up for his rights. How ver, the video is very long and it is very plain and not engaging at all throught the whole entire video. On the other hand, since the video provides many facts and information throughout the video you have no need to have background knowledge about Gandhi or any events that they talk about. Having the video being a primary source they usually talk about the aftermath of the event; however in this video they do not mention the aftermath of Mahatma Gandhi.

Therefore, having many facts and details about the person there is no need to already have that knowledge about the event. Furthermore, having many facts in the biography and having the biography being really long it isn’t engaging to many people. The biography is straight facts and the truth, therefore there is no bias in the article, which won’t lead to any conflict when people read it.

Also, it doesn’t appeal to the person’s emotion because they didn’t give many in depth detail about the events that really hooks the reader’s attention. The article also talk about the aftermath of Mahatma Gandhi and the impact that he left on people. For example at the end it says, “Gandhi’s life and teachings have inspired many liberationists of the 20th Century, including Dr. Martin Luther King in the United States, Nelson Mandela and Steve Biko in South Africa, and Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar. ” Finally, the biography is a higher reading level because it contains many hard words such as, incarceration, and pandemonium.

All five sources offered a different perspective about Mahatma Gandhi and who he is. The article gave a short story from a primary person with Gandhi, but gave no information about Gandhi. The poem gave a short description using strong figurative language describing how Gandhi change people’s lives. The quote gave no information; however was a primary source from Gandhi. The video gave a lot of information, and gave visuals, however it was long and wasn’t engaging. The biography gave straight facts about Gandhi and his life and explained the aftermath Gandhi left on many important people.
