High school is a different experience for everyone. The first three years really blend together and do not seem important, but senior year is completely different. Freshman year was full of confusion, learning an array of new things. Sophomore year was where life started to get fun and you “belonged” in the high school. Junior year was where you see the little light at the end of the tunnel, but it was filled with anxiety and frustration. Senior year is where it all becomes worth it and the rest of your life is finally going to begin.
Freshman year was exciting, because of finally being in the high school. Soon realizing that almost everyone thinks you are stupid and want nothing to do with you. Between that and being confused on where to go, what to do, and when to shut up, it was nerve wrecking to say the least. Thinking you are a stud and the coolest kids around does not really help with the upper classmen. Being able to participate in high school sports just makes the experience all the better and going to homecoming and formal was a blast. No worries besides school and what you were going to do that weekend with your friends. Being able to drive anywhere you pleased made you feel all the more free.
Sophomore year was fun, because knowing where everything already was saved a lot of time and not everyone was looking down on you…
The amount of privileges you get is a heavenly experience. Not having to come to class until first block is very nice, along with not having to stay for study hall if you have one during fourth block. It is as fun as it is sad because you look back at all the good times you had with your friends, but that makes you see that it will all be over after this year. Although our lives are just about to begin it is hard to let the door close on what seemed like the best time of my life. Seniors have to take a leap of faith that the future hold greatness for us, but it is harder than it…
