Jeb Bush Character Analysis Essay

As a simple physics concept “Entropy” states, everything has a tendency to go to the state of disorder, including a group, a society, or a country. Thus, in order to prevent the “Entropy” from happening, a leader or central force is necessary. In this case, which is for a country, a president is needed. I would like to present the candidate I chose, Jeb Bush. Jeb was born in 1953 in Texas and he went to the University of Texas, Austin. He was able to obtain a B. A. Degree there. After his graduation, he went to South America to work, then he came back and moved to Florida in 1980.

He started his real estate career there and was quite successful in the field. Due to his extraordinary deeds, he was named the Secretary of Commerce in 1986, then he became the governor of Florida in 1998. He was successfully reelected in 2002, thus made him the first two-terms Republican governor. I consider Jeb Bush as a powerful candidate for the U. S President in the 2016 presidential election based on his family background and political experience, his consideration and devotion for his citizens and his achievements in Florida.

First, Jeb Bush’s ethos advantage, which is his family background, gives him more credibility than other candidates. For example, Jeb Bush has a father and a brother who had been the U. S Presidents before. In my opinion, a excellent atmosphere is relatively important if we want to be more successful in something. For instance, it’s better to study at a library or a classroom than to study at home, with all the comfort and everything you want just in reach because a library and a classroom have better atmosphere.

That is what Jeb has in advantages. Maybe he is not a born leader, or a born president, but under an influence like that, Jeb is going to get affected no matter what. He should be a great leader if he can be the president. Another example would be that his governor experience in Florida. We all know that every great ocean is consisted of every little drop. Every huge tower consists of little bricks. We need to stack up all these little things in order to make something big, and so is politics.

Of course I am not talking about political geniuses here, I am just applying this theory to common cases. Jeb, as Florida’s first two-terms Republican governor, has served in the Sunshine State for 9 years. His governing experience should give him enough credit to be a powerful candidate for the president this year. As a citizen, would you like a leader that is credible enough to make everyone believes in, or a leader that lies about everything and try to hide everything away from you? I think the answer is clear enough.

Another reason why Jeb is an outstanding candidate is his vast and extraordinary achievements in Florida, which can be said as his succession in logos perspective. For example, his fiscal plans had helped the state’s reverses to rise from $1. 3 billion to $9. 8 billion. This sounds pretty astounding already, but this isn’t all. Most importantly, he made all these improvements without raising taxes. Isn’t this all we have been dreaming about? Raising the economy! He did it! Under his governing, Florida’s economy had increased by almost 8 times!

So I have a reason to believe his plans will help the American economy to grow little by little. In addition, he cut Floridians’ taxes by $19 billion during his eight years governor career. Now here’s another attracting fact that shocks us all. Tax has always been a huge problem among the citizens and all those politicians. Jeb Bush was able to deal with this big problem with his plans. That means he has the ability to deal with the potentially incoming economic problems. Another fact, Jeb Bush cut the size of the government by 6. 6% and vetoed over $2 billion in additional spending.

This is very important ability of a leader. Using the money to the point where it should be spent instead of using the money to do something that doesn’t help the citizens or doesn’t help to improve the quality of living. Since Jeb Bush has proved that he is capable of doing this, he should be doing quite well in dealing with economic problems. Today’s America needs someone that can bring it’s economy back up. Although it is not very prideful to say this, America’s economy is going on a decline, so we need a leader who can help us to get out of this slump.

Thus I consider Jeb Bush would be a good choice to be the president. Lastly, Jeb Bush’s promotion of pathos aspect which is his consideration and devotion for his citizens helped him to win the hearts of his people. Here is an example. Jeb Bush was very eager to help the children to get better educations. When he was the governor, he implemented many plans such as “A+ plan” to help to improve the teaching system and the educational experiences. We doubtlessly consider the children, the next generation will be the future owner of this country.

Although the old ones did amazing job to keep the country running and going better and better, the children are the younger ones, and they have more potential to change the world than the old ones. Jeb’s devotion for kids will lead the country to a brighter tomorrow, I believe. Another example, Jeb Bush had married a Mexican wife. This action of him proves that he is a multicultural person. He is willing to accept the cultural diversity situation in America.

To be honest, there are many, many different people with different cultures living in the U. S. Jeb Bush’s willingness to be multicultural will surely be a good point that supports him to be the president. Last example would be that he loves to stay close to his citizens. He actually chats with his citizens through email. Not only that, he also talks to his citizens about his new policies and his new plans. He really considers his citizen as a part of his heart, as a piece of his mind. Who wouldn’t want a governor to actually care about what his/her citizens think, what his/her citizens feel?

People wouldn’t want a leader that sits on his/her high horse and doesn’t take citizens’ ideas in the sight and only thinks about him/herself. Everyone wants a leader that cares about the people, because people, after all, is the main part of a country. In conclusion, I think Jeb Bush is a extraordinary presidential candidate and he has a great potential to be a great president. People may say that his new tax plans are weird and even bad for this country because it seems that it only benefits those who are rich. People used to criticize president Obama because people think that he had brought the U. S economy down, he took America to a bad position. Now, here is a chance.

Here is someone who can possibly bring the U. S economy back up. The reason why I said this is because of his achievements are there. His actions actually improve the economy in Florida by so much. I believe that if he did it back then, he will do it later too. I believe that he has his own ideas, and he knows what does this country want, thus bring back the economy. So, Jeb is a very good candidate choice if you want a good president, take time to get to know him, or at least take a look at him, you won’t regret it.
