The subject was born as the seventh of eighth children in his family. His father Earl Little was a Baptist Minister and held Black Nationalist views but was murdered when the subject was six. His mother Louise Norton Little was a homemaker who suffered a nervous breakdown a while after her husband died. The subject and his siblings were then split up amongst various foster homes and orphanages. At school the subject was a smart, focused student and graduated top of his class at Junior High. But when told that his goal of becoming a lawyer was “an unrealistic goal for a nigger” by his eacher and he should do carpentry.

He then dropped out soon after and left to Boston where he had various jobs like shoe shining and working at a soda fountain. The subject has strong Black Nationalist views. This means that instead of wanting blacks and whites to integrate he wants a separate black nation with a separate economy and political system. He believes that a separate black nation would prevent the crimes that blacks commit because they have no money. He has been quoted to say, “It’s time now for our people to become conscious of the importance of controlling the economy of our ommunity.

If we own the stores, if we operate the businesses, if we try and establish some industry in our community, then we’re developing to the position where we are creating employment for our own kind. Once you control the economy of your own community then you don’t have to picket and boycott and beg some cracker downtown for a job in his business. ”  This means that he wants blacks to dominate the economy. He also believes that the use of violence in self-defense is a good thing in moving forward for the Negroes. The subject was featured on a week-long television special ith Mike Wallace in 1959 called “The Hate that Hate Produced”.

This was a chance for the subject to put his and The Nation of Islam’s views and beliefs across to the public. The subject believes that slavery was the white mans worst crime and nothing could erase what they did to the Negroes back then. Currently the subject is involved in only the organisation known as the Nation of Islam. He learnt about this organisation and joined it during his time in prison. The Nation of Islam otherwise known as the NOI is an all-Negro organisation that is made up of Black Muslims who follow the eachings of their leader, Elijah Muhammad who claims to be selected by Allah, the Supreme Being.

He is the right hand man of Elijah Muhammad and the Chief Spokesperson of the Nation of Islam so he handles all situations involving publicity. He was also the editor for the Black Muslim newspaper “Muhammad Speaks” in 1957. The Nation of Islam follows the same philosophies as the subject. The subject is their most prominent spokesperson at the moment and their most effective national minister. He is currently the minister of the New York Temple and the Nation of Islam ambassador to the Middle East. He is a very popular leader and since oining the Nation of Islam membership has increased from 500 to now having about 30000 members.

Early on in his life the subject committed several crimes like breaking and entering and larceny and was punished by having to serve ten years in prison from 1946 but was paroled in 1952. Recently the subject led hundreds of NOI members in a Times Square rush-hour protest against police harassment. Currently the subject has been criticising the system in the USA and he was once quoted as saying “The system cannot produce freedom for the Afro American. It is impossible for this system, this economic system, his political system, this social system, this system period.

He is also frequently quoted as saying things that encourage the use of violence and the subject recently said “I encourage black people to fight for their rights by any means necessary and that includes the use of violence. ” Most Black Muslims have a very positive and high opinion of the subject. But there were also some Black Muslims who felt that the subject was seeking personal glory. Other than them most people have negative opinions of the subject and his philosophies. But there were still others with positive opinions.

Dr Martin Luther King Jr has been quoted to say “I always had a deep affection for Malcolm and felt that he had a great ability to put his finger on the existence and the root of the problem. ” Most people agree though that the subject is a great speaker and is recognised as the second most sought after speaker in America. Most people who have listened to him speak have said that their opinions of the subject have changed completely. It is one of the subject’s greatest ambitions to build an army and a government within a government and this could be dangerous to the country if this actually happens.

Due to the subject’s usage of the policy of violence in self-defense and the fact that when he speaks people listen he could cause more great problems. We have heard that the subject may be starting to encourage the use of complete violence if his wishes for Negroes are not met and we fear that the Black Muslims will do what he says. Attached is a telegram from the subject to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr suggesting the use of violence to deal with people who are in the way. We also fear that more people are moving to the Nation of Islam who is much more difficult to deal with than the non-violent supporters.

As well as this some countries are starting to look down on us because of the racism in this country and if more violence breaks out our international relationships could be severely dented. The subject is currently not a huge danger to the government but that could change very quickly. We need to keep track of what he is doing and find a way to stop him. The only problem is that we have already heard the subject say “We have spies in here from the devils world that have to be killed”. So if the Nation of Islam find out what we are doing there could be a huge uproar by all of the Black Muslims in the country
