Age of UFOs

“Little Green Men”, “Martians”, “Outer Limits” ! That is what people think about when aliens and UFOs come to mind. Aliens have been around, as far as we can see, since 1561. The question is now asked, How come because they [UFOs] have been sighted, encountered, and taken hostage; Why have we been kept in the dark by our governments? “Since UFOs were considered a security risk, the report on these sightings was originally classified as secret (Kadrey 22). ” The name ‘flying saucer’ was ‘coined’ by a Air Force pilot in 1947, when he stated that he had saw something that looked like a ‘flying saucer’.

The government knew about UFOs and have been tracking them since 1947, which is to be believed when the ‘Age of UFOs’ started (Stacey 55). So, through the next pages the theory that UFOs are real because of evidence the government has covered up, the number of sightings, and the uncountable number of abductions, will become a reality. The first reason that is going to be addressed, is the secrecy and Government coverup of UFOs. “National Security Agency, or NSA, an acronym often assumed by insiders to mean ‘NEVER SAY ANYTHING’ , (Stacey 40) ” has been blamed for millions of UFO governmental cover-ups around the nation.

Our problem is with government secrecy, because it widens the gap between citizens and the government, making it much more difficult to participate in the democratic process (Stacey 40),” says Steven Aftergood while addressing UFO secrecy. The UFO enigma, or as it is formerly know as the “‘Cosmic Watergate’ : the ongoing cover-up of the government’s knowledge about extraterrestrial UFOs and their terrestrial activities (Stacey 36)” is believed to be started during the Nixon administration, which is still under alot of scrutiny.

The Nixon Administration also established the Freedom of Information Act [FOIA] in the 970s’, it opened the door to alot of truth and more coverups. ” I don’t think they would do a 300-page report on everything they detect,” says Joe Stefula who is a UFO researcher. The “military would far rather have people blame such things on flying saucers than them (Brookesmith 14). ” Several secret UFO Projects have proven the existence of UFOs. One of the more popular ones was ‘Project Blue Book’ which “was organized by the Air Force.

The panel employed a number of scientists, including phycists, engineers, meteorlogists, and an astronomer. It had three main goals : 1) To explain all reported sightings of UFOs. ) To decide if UFOs posed a threat to the national security of the United States. 3) And to determine whether UFOs were using any advanced technology that the Unted States could use ( Kadrey 25 ) . ” Another less popular two were also organized, ‘Project Moon Dust’ and ‘Project Blue Fly’. Project(s) Moon Dust and Blue Fly was “efforts aimed at retrieving man-made space objects that re-enter the atmosphere and crash (Kadrey 38). Even with all this evidence, the authorities often “dismiss such experiences with desperate ‘rational explanations’ ranging from ‘spots before the eyes’ to ‘fireflies’. and that old stand-by hallucinations’ (Brookesmith 21) . ”

Although, not all UFOs are UFOs to the government. Such things as weather balloons, pie plates, and Venus have been proven to cause people to see things, but it still does not give bearing for what is out there and the numerous life witnesses of extraterrestrials. The UFO enigma is “the most ‘well- kept and explosive secret in world history (Stacey 36). The next issue that is going to be covered to prove the existence of UFOs is Sightings of UFOs. ‘Flying Saucers’ , ‘fireballs’ , or ‘Unidentified Flying Objects ‘. Whatever the name, people just seem to exactly know what your saying. A private pilot named Kenneth Arnold “spotted nine weird, cresent-shaped disks flashing through the air as he was flying over the Cascade Mountains in Washington State, USA. Accounts of Arnold’s experience were flashed around the world by the news media, and triggered a wave of ‘flying saucer’ reports across the United States.

By 4 July 1947, there had been sightings in every state but Georgia and West Virginia; by 16 July 1947, the United States Army Air Forces had received over eight-hundred fifty reports. (Brookesmith 19)” Then the ‘Age of UFOs’ was born on 24 June 1947. Although, “many other UFO sightings turned out to be such bjects as weather balloons, satellites, aircraft lights, or formations of birds (Kadrey 24), ” it still does not give light to all of the other sightings that do not turn out to be such things. Its only when ‘Venus’ suddenly executes an abrupt right-angle or divides into two smaller lights that streak away at high speed that we find our attention attracted and realize we may, in fact, be in the middle of a UFO sighting (Huyghe 50). ” “During World War II, especially after 1943, there were many reports of balls of light, varying in color and in size from several feet to a few inches across, flying in pursuit of warplanes. Because these ‘fireballs’ never attacked aircraft, Allied pilots assumed they were enemy inventions – either reconnaissance drones or psychological – warfare weapons.

When captured enemy aircrew were interrogated it became clear that both German and Japanese fliers had also been pursued by ‘Foo Fighters’. The same phenomenon was also reported during the Korean War, between 1950 and 1953 (Brookesmith 17). ” Although, “many UFO sightings have dated back from the year 1561 (Jueneman 25). Many people still believe that something is out there and also it seems like the egyptians had too, it has been proven that the egyptians may have thought aliens’ to be ‘gods’. Its 6:05 A. M. on the morning of 6 February 1966 at Nederland, Texas.

Three witnesses witnessed a famous UFO event for approximately five minutes. The primary witness described the event, “the neighboorhood has lit up in a red glow. My first thought was that a police car was parked nearby or a fire truck. I called to my wife that something must be wrong in the neighboorhood and to come and see. Suddenly I realized the light was coming from overhead [Fig. 1 ] . I looked up andsaw the outline of an object moving out past the pitch of my roof, approximately two-hundred fifty to five-hundred feet high. The red glow was oming from beneath the object, about center.

It appeared as a stream of light coming from inside a hole (Huyghe “UFO Crime Lab” 60). ” Many UFOs are described such as this. Is it a UFO or something else? Remember, a UFO is only a UFO if not explained. “On the same day, but at 11:50 A. M. , five technicians, including a Colonel and a Major, were watching two P-82 and an A-26 aircraft conduct an ejection-seat experiment at 20, 000 feet (6100 meters). They viewed a circular object, a color of aluminum, and at first “resembled a ‘parachute canopy’ come into view. The ejection-seat canopy opened 30 seconds later.

The UFO, clearly earer to the ground, descended three times faster than the parachute, rotating or oscillating. The men noted no smoke, flame, propellar arcs, engine noise, or other means of propulsion. The UFO reacheaced ground level and then rose again (Brookesmith 19),” this clearly states either UFOs are more more advanced or are not UFOs, but secret military project ‘screwups’, that would raither have people like us blame things on extraterrestrials; just so they don’t look stupid. The next topic that is going to be covered is the alien abductions and government encounters with them.

During the period of 1969-1971, MJ-12 representing the U. S. Government made a deal with these creatures, called EBEs (Extraterrestrial Biological Entities, named by Delev Bronk, original MJ-12 member and 6th President of Johns Hopkins University). The ‘deal’ was that in exchange for ‘technology’ that they would provide to us, we agreed to ‘ignore’ the abductions that were going on and suppress information on the cattle mutilations. The EBEs assured MJ-12 that the abductions (usually lasting about 2 hours) were merely the ongoing monitoring of developing civilizations.

In fact, the purposes for the abductions turned out to be: (1) The insertion of a 3mm spherical device through the nasal cavity of he abductee into the brain; the device is used for the biological monitoring, tracking, and control of the abductee. (2) Implementation of Posthypnotic Suggestion to carry out a specific activity during a specific time period, the actuation of which will occur within the next 2 to 5 years. (3) Termination of some people so that they could function as living sources for biological material and substances. (4) Termination of individuals who represent a threat to the continuation of their activity. 5) Effect genetic engineering experiments. (6) Impregnation of human females and early termination of pregnancies to secure the crossbreed infant. The U. S. Government was not initially aware of the far reaching consequences of their ‘deal’. They were led to believe that the abductions were essentially benign and since they figured the abductions would probably go on anyway whether they agreed or not, they merely insisted that a current list of abductees be submitted, on a periodic basis, to MJ-12 and the National Security Council.

Does this sound incredible? An actual list of abductees sent to the National Security Council? Read on, because I have news for you. The EBEs have a genetic disorder in that their digestive system is atrophied and not functional. Some speculate that they were involved in some type of accident or nuclear war, or possibly on the back side of an evolutionary genetic curve. In order to sustain themselves they use an enzyme or hormonal secretion obtained from the tissue that they extract from humans and animals. (Note: Cows and Humans are genetically similar.

In the event of a national disaster, cow’s blood can be used by humans. ) The secretions obtained are then mixed with hydrogen peroxide and applied on the skin by spreading or dipping parts of their bodies in the solution. The body absorbs the solution, then excretes the waste back through he skin. The cattle mutiliations that were prevalent throughout the period from 1973 to 1983 and publicly noted through newspaper and magazine stories and included a documentary produced by Linda Hoew for the Denver CBS affiliate KMGH- TV, were for the collection of these tissues by the aliens.

The mutiliations included genitals taken, rectums cored out to the colon, eyes, tongue, and throat all surgically removed with extreme precision. In some cases the incisions were made by cutting between the cells, a process we are not yet capable of performing in the field. In many of the mutilations there was no lood found at all in the carcass, yet there was no vascular collapse of the internal organs. The various parts of the body are taken to various underground laboratories, one of which is known to be near the small New Mexico town of Dulce.

This jointly occupied (CIA-Alien) facility has been described as enormous, with huge tiled walls that ‘go on forever’. Witnesses have reported huge vats filled with amber liquid with parts of human bodies being stirred inside. During the period between 1979 and 1983 it became increasingly obvious to MJ-12 that things were not going as planned. It became known that many more eople (in the thousands) were being abducted than were listed on the official abduction lists. In addtion it became obvious that some, not all, but some of the nation’s missing children had been used for secretions and other parts required by the aliens.

By 1984, MJ-12 must have been in stark terror at the mistake they had made in dealing with the EBEs. They had subtly promoted Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E. T. to get the public used to ‘odd looking’ aliens that were compassionate, benevolent and very much our ‘space brothers’. MJ-12 ‘sold’ the EBEs to the public, and were now faced with the fact that quite the opposite was true. In addition, a plan was formulated in 1968 to make the public aware of the existence of aliens on earth over the next 20 years to be culminated with several documentaries to be realeased during 1985-1987 period of time.

These documentarieswould explain the history and intentions of the EBEs. The discovery of the ‘Grand Deception’ put the entire plans, hopes and dreams of MJ-12 into utter confusion and panic. Meeting at the ‘Country Club’, a remote lodge with private golf course, comfortable sleeping and working quarters, and its own private airstrip built by and exclusively for the members of MJ-12, it was a factional fight of what to do ow. Part of MJ-12 wanted to confess the whole scheme and shambles it had become to the public, beg their forgiveness and ask for their support.

The other part (and majority ) of MJ-12 argued that there was no way they could do that, that the situation was untenable and there was no use in exciting the public with the ‘horrible truth’ and that the best plan was to continue the development of a weapon that could be used against the EBEs under the guise of ‘SDI’. the Strategic Defense Initiative, which had nothin whatsoever to with a defense for inbound Russian nuclear missles. (Brookesmith 112 and 113) ” Although, this did not stop the the EBEs.

A woman named Myrna Hansen and her six-year old son are a good example of the EBEs power. Driving home on a road near Cimarron once evening in the spring of 1980, 28-year old Myna Hansen and her six-year old saw five UFOs descending into a cow pasture. Until hypnotically regressed, she had confused memories of a close encounter, and could not account for a period of ‘missing time’ of some four hours. She was regressed in sessions held between 11 May and 3 June by Dr. Leo Sprinkle, in the company of Dr. Paul Bennewitz, an electronics engineer who was lso an investigator for the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization.

According to Ms. Hansen’s accounts under hypnosis, two white-suited figures emerged from one of the UFOs and mutilated one of the cows in the field, while it was alive, with an 18-inch (45 cm)-long knife. She remonstrated with them, and she and her son were captured and taken to seperate ships. She continued to resist but was undressed and given a physical examination, including a (censor) probe that reportedly later produced a sever infection. The procedure was interrupted by what appeared to be a tail, jaundiced uman, who apologized and ordered the aliens punished.

He then took Ms. Hansen on a tour of this and possible some other UFOs. The last seems to have taken flight, as she was next led out into a landscape that at one point she believed she recognized as being west of Las Cruces, and at another had the impression was near Roswell. Here she was taken into an underground base, where she managed to escape briefly. She found herself in a room full of what appeared to be water tanks, and was horrified to discover they were vats in which were floating human body parts, including an arm that had an hand attached to it.

Ms. Hansen was then dragged out of this area, and she and her son were both put through a further painful process involving loud noises and blinding lights. before being taken back aboard the UFO and flown (with her car also aboard) back to the site of the abduction. (Brookesmith 108) ” In conclusion, I believe that UFOs, Aliens, EBEs, or whatever you call them; do have the key to our future in the existence of mankind. Although, secret pacts with our governments may not exactly get what we want, we can fight back.

Lets jump back for a second and ask ourselves a question now: What if we ere in the same predicament, wouldn’t we want ourselves to be healthy too, and take what we need? If we look at the aliens actions from their perspective, what they are doing is exactly what we are doing to ourselves by destroying the o- zone layer. So why can’t they do the same to us? I feel that the thesis to prove the existence of UFOs as stated that Government coverups do pose a threat to the truth and national security of our country, UFO sightings and abductions do pose a threat at this time and we must be ready at all odds to expose the Government and The aliens.

We are not alone aliens do exist

For over a thousand years people have reported seeing strange objects flying in the sky. Today the unknown flying objects -UFOs continue to visit us, on a regular basis. A large amount of recorded historical events of this issue have taken place to give the subject of UFOs recognition. Recently, many individuals have claimed to witness or be part of fantastic stories that attract some while are turned away. Videotapes, photographs and pieces of physical evidence do support some of these stories.

Even more frightening, small objects called implants have been found in the bodies of some people that have reported strange sightings or encounters with strange objects. Once one begins to put it all together, the history, stories, claims, and evidence that science is to studying, the truth has come clear. We are not alone aliens do exist! Different cultures throughout the world have historical events, in their histories that are very much similar to what we call a UFO today.

The oldest recorded sighting belongs to Thutmose, Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt around 1500 (BC) A circle of fire coming in the sky It had no head the breath of its mouth had a foul odor. Its body was one rod (16. 5ft[5m]) long and one rod wide. It had no voice. (Brookesmith, 13). Days after this, the number of objects increased it was said that, these things became more numerous in the sky than ever. They shone more in the sky than the brightness of the sun, and extended to the limits of the four supports of the heavens (Brookesmith, 13). What could shine in the sky more than the sun?

These ancient events did occur thousands of years before todays world of technology and modern aircraft. This supports the fact that these UFOs were that, Unknown Flying Objects. In the past they had to deal with this any way they could, some cultures used religion and the Bible. There are certain passages in the Bible that could be translated as being sightings of UFOs. In Exodus Chapter 13, verses 21-22, the lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.

Brookesmith,13). This can be translated to the following as I translate it, it seems like these people were being led by a craft that lit up the night for them. This is a very convincing UFO description. Such an event at that time could only be interpreted as being caused by, The Lord. People on the ground, looking up described all these sightings. On June 24, 1947 an Idaho businessman Kenneth Arnold, an experienced pilot was flying over the Cascade Mountains, when an incredibly bright flash lit up his airplane.

He soon after described what he saw They didnt fly like any other aircraft I had seen before they flew in a definite formationlike speed boats on rough water or similar to the tail of a Chinese kite that I once saw blowing in the wind they fluttered and sailed, tipping their wings alternately and emitting very bright blue white flashed from their surfaces. (Brookesmith, 44). Then when he was questioned by a reporter from the East Oregonian newspaper Kenneth Arnold described the object he has seen as flying, like a saucer would if you skipped it across the water.

Brookesmith, 44). From these words came the term flying saucers. Arnolds sighting unleashed a new era of people seeing flying saucers and mysterious flying objects. From June to the end of July in 1947 a massive amount of sightings occurred. The Air Force had received over 850 reports of Unidentified Flying Objects. During this time a UFO had been seen in every state except for Georgia and West Virginia. Many of the witnesses who reported seeing these strange objects include professional and highly educated people such as, military and commercial pilots, U. S.

Intelligence officers, scientist, police officers and average American citizens. (Brookesmith, 45). One of the most convincing encounter happened during the mid 1900s was titled as follows in a Roswell newspaper headline, RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch in Roswell Region, the article said: The intelligence office of the 509th Bombardment group at Roswell Army Air Field announced at noon today, that the field has come into possession of a flying saucerthe disk was recovered on a ranch in the Roswell vicinity, after an unidentified rancher had notified sheriff Geo.

Wilcox, here, that he has found the instrument on his premises. Major Marcel and a detail from his department went to the ranch and recovered the disk it was stated. After the intelligence office here had inspected the instrument it was flown to higher headquarters(RAAF) The next day the Roswell newspaper headline read, Gen. Ramey Empties Roswell Saucer, the report said: Forth Worth, Texas- July 9th an examination by the army revealed last night that mysterious objects found on a lonely New Mexico ranch was a harmless high- altitude weather balloon not a grounded flying disk.

Excitement was high until Brig. Gen. Roger M. Ramey, commander of the Eighth air forces with headquarters here cleared up the mystery (Gen. Ramey, Headline) Interestingly, the day before all this happened, the Associated Press released a news report titled, FLYING SAUCERS SEEN IN MOST STATES NOW (Berlitz-Moore, 27). At that time, the 509th was the only airplane squadron that was equipped with atomic bombs (Joe, internet). The fact that a Major of the 509th Bomb groups intelligence office could mistake a weather balloon for a flying saucer makes the second official explanation suspect to be highly untrue.

Why was the General the only one who saw it as a weather balloon and not the reporting officers? Up to this point in history, the UFO phenomenon consisted of people only seeing Unidentified Flying Objects. After the Roswell event, this all began to change. Most people are or have been familiarized with the typical UFO encounter, one witness or numerous witnesses see a strange object in the sky. The object usually flies away at amazing speeds and the observers note it as a strange incident and continue along on with what they were doing.

Some have realized that after such an incident they cannot account for time that was lost during the encounter. An example of these experiences is discussed in the book, Missing Time. In a typical case, a couple or a person is driving home late at night on a desolate road far from population. They see a bright light and the car engine dies. The next thing they know, the light flies and the car engine starts up. Only after getting home do they realize their trip took hours longer than it should have taken (Hopkins, 8).

When hypnotized, people tend to remember what happened during the missing time. All the stories told under hypnosis are extremely similar, being taken onboard a ship, subject to painful physical procedures and then being released (Hopkins, 12). Most of these abductees have strange objects appearing on X-rays of their heads, feet, hands, arms and legs (Striber, 183). Many of these objects have been surgically removed. Dr. Leir a pediatric surgeon who has performed such surgery reported the objects as being an, ultra hard metallic highly magnetic anomalous iron alloy. (F. I.

R. S. T,Internet). While one surgery was taking place, it was being recorded on video, the object moved away from the scalpel. (Striber, 228). These implants are just the beginning of a growing list of physical evidence. Scientists are beginning to deem some of this evidence extraterrestrial. An anonymous ex-military man, who claims he was part of the crew who was responsible from cleaning up the Roswell crash debris, pocketed a small piece of the material. He took it home and hid it for decades. He gave it to a friend who later donated it to some scientist for analysis.

F. I. R. S. T, Internet) After a year and a half of analysis Dr. Russell Vernon Clark, a chemist from the University of California at San Diego reported, We have determined that this material shows significant variations from the normal isotopic compositions found on the Earth and should be considered extraterrestrial in origin. (Cninews, Internet) This is the only known hard evidence supporting the Roswell incident. Unfortunately, more sinister evidence has been connected with the UFO phenomena. Since 1970 ranchers have been finding their cattle mutilated.

National, Internet). According to a cattle mutilation web site: All of the cows blood is drained unlike animal attack, the flesh, adjoining the area where it has been removed, is smooth and clean as if cut with a searing or laser scalpelMainly the sexual, anterior digestive tract and sensory organs are affected. (No predator differentiates so precisely). Still, no tracks of any kind can be found around the mutilation site, except, sometimes, tripod marks… No person or group has ever been convicted of mutilating cattle (Granders,Internet)

The most un-human aspect of the mutilations is that the cuts were caused much like something a laser would cause. According to National Institute for Discovery Science, with currently available laser technology, cutting a 3-5 mm thick cow hide would require equipment weighing several thousand pounds (National,Internet). It is hard to believe any laser that size could have been transported to the fields, used to mutilate the cow and returned to the research lab or university unnoticed. No one, including scientists, have been able to determine who is responsible for these mutilations.

While the scientists cannot solve the cattle mutilation question, they are beginning to bring light to the study of UFOs as a serious subject for study. For the first time, typical scientists are giving the UFO subject merit. A Stanford University press release reports, – In the first independent review of UFO phenomena since 1970, a panel of scientists has concluded that some sightings are accompanied by physical evidence that deserves scientific study. (Stanford University Press, Internet).

Mainstream science admitting that the phenomenas physical evidence cannot be ignored proves that highly educated people are taking this seriously. That strange has now been seen in the sky for a very long time. Intelligent, honorable people have seen UFOs and reported them. High-ranking intelligence officers of the militarys first atomic bomb squadron have recovered and examined what they believed to be a flying saucer and parts of it. After shipping it to higher headquarters their general tells them its not a flying saucer or UFO. Of all objects it is reported to be what seems like anyone could have identified a weather balloon!

People who have observed UFOs and reported missing time afterwards only to find out later that they became unwittingly extraterrestrial specimens. Surgeons are removing mysterious iron alloy metal objects from these peoples bodies. Some of these objects moving away from the surgeons scalpel! Doctors have tested alleged UFO crash material and claimed that it should be considered extraterrestrial in origin. Ranchers cattle are being mutilated with laser like tools before lasers were commercially available. All these reports add up to one a very disturbing conclusion, which worries me and should do so to everyone else.

The Roswell Incident

The people of the world have always had a mysterious belief that Earth wasn’t the only planet in the universe that supported life. This belief dates back to ancient times when heavenly and demonic stories were told of gods who strode across the skies on their golden chariots. Tales as far fetched as Zeus who threw lightening bolts from his fingertips to stories as credible as the American Indian’s Cachinas, who supposedly taught them to farm and saved them from numerous disasters. The Egyptians, who built their mammoth pyramids with only the use of man power, used hieroglyphics.

These same hieroglyphics have been unofficially documented as being similar to symbols found on unidentified aircraft wreckage found in several incidences over the past fifty years (Montgomery 225-32, 236-37). Are these stories all mere coincidence? Some researchers think not and have continued to unveil new evidence that is believably true. Recently, new facts have been brought up on the most documented UFO (unidentified flying object) sighting of all time: the Roswell Incident.

The Roswell Incident is a UFO crash that occurred at 11:30 p. m. July 4th, 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico (Randal 10). Mac Brazel, a local New Mexico rancher, discovered a considerable amount of unusual debris while riding out on horseback early in the morning to check his sheep after a night of intense thunderstorms. He reported to Sheriff George Wilcox after driving into Roswell, that the aircraft had created a shallow gouge several hundred feet long and was scattered over a large area. Sheriff Wilcox then notified authorities at the Roswell Army Air Field and with the assistance of his deputies, proceeded to investigate the matter.

Shortly after the 509th Bomb Group arrived from their station 35 miles away (Walker 38), they closed off the area for a number of days and retrieved the wreckage. The debris was initially taken to Roswell Army Air Field and eventually flown to Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio (Jeffrey). Before the military could intervene, the event had already been witnessed by more than one-hundred people. Local police, fire squad, and curious members of the Roswell community make up these people. A lot of them were part of the initial recovery team and are now telling their stories that have been bottled up for nearly a half of a century (Randal 11).

According to one unnamed witness of the Roswell recovery team, The crash site was littered with pieces of the aircraft. Something about the size of a fighter plane had crashed, the metal was unlike anything I’d ever seen before. I picked up a piece the size of a car fender with one hand, it couldn’t have weighed more than a quarter of a pound and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t even get it to bend (Randal 11). This statement describes the type of material that was found at the site and has been described in this manner by numerous witnesses.

The next statement was made by Curry Holden, an archeologist who was one of the first to arrive on the scene, “I saw a crashed airplane without wings and with a fat fuselage. There were three bodies. Two were outside the craft and the other one was still inside, visible through a gash in the fuselage” (Walker 38). Other bits of information have also been documented from locals arriving initially at the scene. First, there is the local undertaker, Glenn Dennis, who was asked by the base if he could provide child-sized coffins.

Then there was the local fireman, Dan Dwyer, whose crew was called out to the crash site and who collected some of the mysterious metal debris. He told his family of also seeing two body bags and one still living being about the size of a 10-year-old child (Walker 38). So many stories are now being told, that it is hard to distinguish which ones are probable, but because of the amount of information now coming out, it is very likely that something out of this world did take place in Roswell, New Mexico, fifty years ago.

There are two soundless films showing the autopsy of one of the beings, known as the gray variety (“UFO Crash”), found at the Roswell crash scene. One is eighteen minutes long and takes place in some kind of operating room. The other is three minutes long and was shot inside a tent in the half-light of emergency lanterns. Both of these videos were supposedly taken by an Air Force film technician at Roswell and at the autopsy center in Fort Worth.

This cameraman is still undercover, but sold these tapes to British filmmaker Ray Santilli who has recently made these public and brought the Roswell controversy back into a full blown investigation by many researchers and some retired government officials. The first tape gives a fairly good visual of the gray variety beings. On an operating table in a small white room, the naked humanoid creature lies on its back with a bulbous stomach and a bald and giant head with lizard eyes. Six fingers lie slightly curled on the end of a respectively long arm and there appears to be a deep foot long gash in its right leg.

Two unidentifiable humans in white contamination suits circle the creature using instruments to slice and saw through some body parts (Corliss 105). The flesh gives and bleeds, the joints flex, and the limbs bend. When the skull is cut into it reveals an unusually thick bone and the brain in fleshlike, but most unlike a human brain with its grooves and folds. Instead it looks like a chunk of liver on this grainy black and white film. Large elliptical slits are where the eyes would be on a human and are covered with a black film.

When this film is removed, white orbs are revealed. Moving back to the pregnant looking stomach, there is no navel. When the stomach is opened up, there are female genitalia, but there are no coils of intestines (Walker 38). This seems convincingly to be the autopsy of some kind of being and it does not appear to be the creation of a Hollywood special-effects lab, especially for the time that this film is dated at. Dr. Paul O’Higgins, an anatomist from University College London, says, the anatomy appears human, though with several deformities.

The large skull, he says, could be caused by fluid on the brain, often found together with low set ears, hairlessness, and lack of secondary sexual characteristics. On an anatomical and evolutionary basis, I find it impossible to believe these are aliens. Only the lack of a navel and the black membrane over the eyes bewilder me. (qtd. in Walker 38) This is the same opinion that many researchers share, they don’t believe that the being is an alien, but there are so many things unexplained on the films that have no other explanation but for the being to actually be extraterrestrial.

A lot of them were part of the initial recovery team and are now telling their stories that ave been bottled up for nearly a half of a century (Randal 11).

This statement describes the type of material that was found at the site and has been described in his manner by numerous witnesses.

There are two soundless films showing the autopsy of one of the beings, known as the ray variety (“UFO Crash”), found at the Roswell crash scene.

This seems convincingly to be he autopsy of some kind of being and it does not appear to be the creation of a Hollywood special-effects lab, especially for the time that this film is dated at.

Only the lack of a navel and the black membrane over the eyes bewilder me. qtd. n Walker 38)

This is the same opinion that many researchers share, they don’t believe that the being is an alien, but there are so many things unexplained on the films that have no other explanation but for the being to actually be extraterrestrial. Researchers of the Roswell incident feel that it is highly probable that the government is withholding information on the crash. For a lot of the researchers, their primary goal is to get the matter into the open so that the truth can be conclusively determined, one way or another. Another thing that would help is finding the cameraman.

There are many disputed questions that scientists want to ask him about the films. Questions that will probably never be answered unless he steps forward. Obviously something had to have happened at Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947, but the truth might never come out. So until it does, people can share their thoughts and stories, whether fact or fiction, and enjoy the memories of the most celebrated and best documented UFO event of all time. They can keep their wild ideas that somewhere in an alternate universe, Marvin and Mindy Martian are sitting down watching over us earthlings.

I Want To Believe

Ever since US Air Force Pilot Kenneth Arnold coined the term Flying Saucer, on 24th June 1947, after allegedly encountering nine disk shaped objects while out flying over the Cascade Mountains, the world wide sightings of such objects, has increased logarithmically. By 1957 the furor over UFO sightings showed no sign of abating and the sightings had now been awarded levels of classification by US Astronomer, Allen. J. Hynek.

Hynek created three categories for UFO encounters: Close encounters of the first kind: nocturnal lights, daylight disks, the second kind: Physical affects left by UFOs, marks on the ground, car engines stalling and finally close encounters of the third kind: the actual witnessing of beings emerging from their craft. But on September 20th 1961, the categorization of this phenomena took on a fourth dimension when Betty and Barney Hill claimed while driving home one night, they were allegedly abducted by alien beings.

The Hills were the first individuals in modern history to state publicly that they had been abducted by extraterrestrial beings, leading to a new era, with reports of alien abductions occurring world wide. But to be abducted whilst outdoors like the Hills is considered to be extremely rare, with almost all cases being reported at night, while the abductee was in bed and without any independent witness corroboration. The description of the alleged alien abductors varied widely throughout the world but in the last ten years or so the descriptions of the abductors have become almost indistinguishable.

Therefore, the object of this project is to try and establish the possibility that a minority of the human race, could conceivably be being abducted from their beds at night, by a super intelligent race of extraterrestrial beings or do these people just perceive that they have been abducted and there is a more down to earth answer for the abduction phenomena. The first part of this project contends that alien beings do not come from out a-space but a lot more closer to home or more specifically inside the human brain.

The project’s debate, is that the reason behind the vast majority of abduction cases might be temporal lobe epilepsy, epilepsy which triggers a condition known as hypnogogic sleep disorder. When a person is in the midst of hypnogogic sleep they are almost always completely paralyzed and suffer hypnopompic hallucinations, hallucinations which give the sufferer the impression of a presence around their beds with the secondary effect of floating.

When a person reaches this stage of the hallucination they then interpret it as being an alien abduction experience. The project will then look at outside influences that might trigger temporal lobe epilepsy, influences like electrical trauma and or electromagnetic fields, fields that are higher in density in more areas than others, areas that are located close to radio masts and electricity pylons.

The essay will then look at Dr. Michael Persinger’s experiments with electromagnetic fields experiments were Persinger was able to recreate hypnogogic type hallucinations. The next part of the project will then debate, that a section of the human race is being systematically taken from the planet, for reasons that are not clear. It will tell of the advantages of night time abductions and tell of an exceptionally rare case of an abduction with multiple and credible witness.

The project will then reveal the striking similarities of alleged alien beings and the mythical beings portrayed throughout different cultures, similarities that are particularly evident within the prophetic messages given to these said cultures by their gods from the stars. The second part of the debate will close by putting forward a theory for the attention we seem to be receiving from our extraterrestrial inquisitors, suggesting that the emergence of the human race into the nuclear age, might in part be responsible.

The aim of chapter three, is to analyze and evaluate it’s primary sources of research (Questionnaire and Little Gray Man Experiment) looking at the statistics and their relationship to the alien abduction phenomena. The project will then give an interpretation of the findings, starting with the questionnaire, revealing that there is a pattern throughout the questionnaire, a pattern showing that the vast majority of people are willing to believe in un-provable beliefs.

The interpretation of the little gray man experiment, helps to demonstrate the power of the media and the influence it has in giving people preconceived ideas of what an alien life form might look like, which might explain why people nearly always see the same being. Chapter three will then examine the relationship between the mass media and its effects on peoples opinions and how people appear to be led by the media, contending that the emergence of alien abductions has become more prolific since the advent of television and extraterrestrial beings are the result of a war of the ratings as opposed to a the war of the worlds.

The final part of this project will sum up the subject matter that has been debated (are people being abducted from their beds at night by extraterrestrial beings or are these people suffering from a neurological disorder that might be being agitated by the media) and then draw a conclusion from the debate.

Alien abductions are not as straight forward as they seem, do the answers lie in outer space or is it all in the mind? The vast majority of all alleged alien abductions, occur at night in bed, just as the potential victim is about to enter into a deep sleep. Could there be a connection, some theorist believe there is and one hypothesis suggests, that alien abductions are strongly connected to sleep paralysis syndrome.

Sleep paralysis syndrome, is believed to be a form of epilepsy or to be more specific, temporal lobe epilepsy “temporal lobe epilepsy is important to emotions and other sensations, it is possible that disturbance in this part of the brain is responsible for the sleep disorder narcolepsy” (Chadwick. , 1988, P. 14). Narcolepsy manifests its self in several different ways, depending on the individual sufferer but the most common outcome is a seizure taking place, whilst the sufferer is still sleeping, to a rare condition known as hypnogogic sleep.

Hypnogogic sleep is the medical term for sleep paralysis syndrome and this condition is thought to be closely associated to Rapid Eye Movement sleep (REM), which is a phase of sleep closely related to dreaming. When in REM sleep, the body is believed to be paralyzed, this is thought to be an in-built safety mechanism to stop people physically carrying out there dreams, like being violent or trying to run.

When people suffering from this condition awaken, they are fully aware of their surroundings but the paralyzing symptoms of REM sleep are thought to persist “people suffering from the hypnogogic sleep disorder, awaken from REM sleep but their body remains in a state of paralysis with the exception of the sufferer being only able to move their eyes” (Hufford, 1982, P. 107). When a person suffering from hypnagogic sleep disorder awakens into an altered state, as well as the paralysis, the sufferer will often encounter vivid and frightening dreamlike experiences.

These hallucinations are a major component of the hypnagogic sleep disorder and are so real to the sufferer, that they are unable to distinguish them from reality. In almost all cases, the same scenario is played out, beginning with the afflicted person realizing that they are unable to move any part of their body, this instinctively sends them into a blind panic. Typically, they then enter into the final stage of hypnogogic sleep and experience hypnopomic hallucinations.

It is at this hypnopomic stage, that the stupefied victim senses a presence in the room with them, this is usually coupled with the sensation of floating, making the circumstances ideal for the terrified recipient of the paralysis, to interpret the situation as an alien abduction “I was quite conscious of the fact I could not move, conscious of were I was going and the creature in front of me. I was floating and felt like a bear on the end of an invisible rope” (Hough. P, 1997, P. 50).

This is a fairly typical account of a nocturnal alien abduction experience and contains all the components to classify it as such. Some people have been so affected by what they perceive to be an alien abduction, they have then felt compelled to write about their experience. A good example of this is by the famous horror writer Whitley Strieber. Strieber was alleged to have undergone a classic alien abduction scenario “Is someone there? I wondered aloud. the door opened a few inches and I had a glimpse of a big and glistening black eye, belonging to a distinctly non human face.

Then there is something like a burst of lightning from above and the house was bathed in light” (Strieber. W, 1987) Strieber was so overwhelmed by his alien abduction incident, that he was inspired to write the best selling book Communion, Which allegedly portrayed his abduction ordeal. Strieber continued to experience what he perceived to be alien abductions after writing communion, therefore he decided to seek a medical explanation for his strange encounters.

“After undergoing a batch of psychological and IQ tests he was given a clean bill of health, he was then given a brain scan (M. I. R) and this also turned out to be negative. finally Strieber was subjected to a temporal lobe scan (E. E. G) but this time the test was positive and inconsistencies were found in this area of his brain” (Schnabel. J, 1994). Strieber past the rigorous psychological examinations set before him but the discovery of anomalies within the temporal lobe region of his brain, is symptomatic of narcalepsey. Therefore, what Strieber and thousands like him perceived to be alien abduction, could instead be TLE.

It seems more likely then, that the answer to the alleged alien abductions does not lie in out-a space but more likely in inner space, within the human brain. One possible source for the alien abduction phenomenon could be attributed to electrical activity, particularly electrical trauma to the brain. The human brain is a highly sensitive bioelectrical organ that continuously conducts millions of electrical impulses through it’s billions of neurons and in essence it could be described as a super computer “At any one time , the brain is a junction box alive with incoming and out going messages.

These are carried by thousands of millions of cells, these cells form such a complex arrangement that we have little chance of understanding what individual cells do” (Barnhard. C, 1984, P. 78). This statement illustrates that the human brain is a delicate electromagnetic organ and if it is exposed to electrical trauma, this then might lead to a malfunction.

Parapsychologist Albert Budden conducted a study of fifty alleged nocturnal alien abductees, to his amazement, he found that all fifty had one thing in common, they had all been exposed to a major electric shock “Almost invariably I have found that these abductees have had a major electrical event, they have been struck by lightning or been near lightning or have suffered major electrocution and this has changed their bodies permanently” (Budden A, 1998) This remarkable discovery by Budden, helps to show the ramifications of electricity on the human physiology.

Therefore, did all fifty people in Budden’s study suffer major electrical trauma and were then abducted by aliens or more realistically, did the electrical event somehow change the functioning of their brain, altering their perception of reality and if so could these changes be reproduced in the laboratory? Research carried out by neuropsychologist, Professor Michael Persenger suggests that the human brain is susceptible to certain kinds of natural occurring electrical energy.

Persenger theorized that weak electrical impulses sent to the temporal lobes of the brain would induce hypnopomic like hallucinations. To test his theory Persenger built a sound and light proof chamber, a subject was then placed in the booth and a purpose built helmet that was able to generate a weak electro magnetic field, was placed on the subjects head. Varying electrical impulses were then sent to the helmet, enabling Persenger to control the electromagnetic waves sent to the recipients brain.

He found that this generated differing kinds of mystical experiences amongst his volunteers “The kinds of things that people reported in the chamber when their experiences were amplified by applying these complex weak electro magnetic fields, would be feelings of floating through a tube, feelings of being detached, sensations of someone being in the chamber with them. One subject said he could feel someone tugging at his legs and genitals so he labeled it as an experience contributed it to the electro magnetic field.

But if you took the same experience when you are alone at night in bed, the cultural label is, alien abduction” (Persenger, 1998). This experiment by Persenger, helps to prove that under certain circumstances, electromagnetic fields can trigger hypnopomic Imagery, but this is in the laboratory, how could these events take place while we are in bed? The fact is, we are all bathed in strong electromagnetic radiation but some people are more susceptible to electro magnetic fields than others.

This is an environmental health issue and in fact alien abductions are just a very small part of a much broader issue which is electro magnetic pollution” (Budden, 1998). If people with discrepancies within the temporal lobule area of the brain, live in the vicinity of electricity pillions, electrical sub stations, radio masts or any other generator of strong electromagnetic fields, they then might be living near the very catalyst, that triggers an alien abduction event.

Science Fiction Final Project: Roswell

On the night of July 4, 1947 a thunderstorm filled the sky with loud blasts of thunder and a distinct sound accompanied by a bright flash of light. Giving little thought to the strange occurrence, Mac Brazel went back to sleep and decided to inspect the damage in the morning. In the morning the farmer and his son were surprised to discover an area where pieces of metal were spread throughout the field. Mr. Brazel knew that the pieces appeared to be very strange so he loaded his truck with some of the debris and took them to the closest city, Roswell, which is some 75 miles from his farm.

The Roswell sheriff looked at the debris and decided to call the Roswell Army Air Field. He thought that the pieces could be the wreckage of a top-secret project and that the army would be the best authority for the situation. The Army checked and found that, in fact, no secret projects had been performed in that location. Jesse Marcel and Captain Sheridan Cavitt decided to drive to the farm outside of Corona, New Mexico and look at the crash site for themselves. Upon seeing the crash site, they mutually decided that the wreckage was not from this world and that they must alert the Pentagon.

The Pentagon already knew by this time what was happening in Roswell, and General Clemence McMullen told Roswell Army Air Field that they must cover up the whole story. Thus the government of the United States decided to lie to its citizens. Extraterrestrials exist and have visited our planet. The United States government as well as many other worldwide governments have proof of UFO existence but are afraid to release this information to the general public. It is up to the general public to examine the evidence and decide whether UFOs exist.

If the government is going to continue a policy of denial then the citizens must begin a policy of belief. Whether policy makers are afraid of UFOs effect on national security or the potential mass hysteria that could follow such a release of information, the people must not sit back and let evidence of extraterrestrial contact slip through the cracks. A UFO crashed into the side of a mountain on the night of July 4, 1947. The alien craft had malfunctioned that may have been caused due to the thunderstorm.

As the craft touched the ground on Mac Brazels farm, it again became airborne and was able to remain in the air until crashing to its final resting-place. This is where the craft was recovered shortly after the news was released that the 509th Bombardment group at Roswell Army Air Field had come into the possession of a flying saucer. The day after this newspaper was released many foreign countries began to call Roswell, New Mexico about the article, so a new article was released.

This article said that the mysterious objects found on the ranch were really nothing more than debris from a high-altitude weather balloon, not a grounded flying disk. The nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman said, Unfortunately, the media bought the Air Force cover-up hook, line, and sinker. The first decorated man to inspect the initial crash site Jesse Marcel said I still dont know what the material was, except it was nothing like I had ever seen before and it certainly wasnt from any weather balloon. In 1997 a piece of metal alleged to be a fragment from the Roswell crash was presented to local Roswell scientists for analysis.

Dr. Russel VernonClark performed the tests on the material and found that the object had an abnormal ratio of Germanium. This element is not found on earth and has a life of only 1. 35 hours. This was proof to Dr. VernonClark that the material was from an extraterrestrial craft. Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr. also examined the piece to compare it with the memory he has from the wreckage his father showed him in 1947. Dr. Marcel agreed that this object looked like the objects that he had seen after the crash. Roswell is the most known UFO contact site and date known around the world although many UFOs have been reported throughout the 20th century.

In 1948, Thomas Mantell, a pilot for the National Guard, was ordered to pursue a UFO. He chased it in his F51 Mustang, but he went too high and ran out of oxygen. He went unconscious and the plane crashed, killing him instantly. This was the first documented death due to a UFO. In 1952 a wave a UFOs flew over Washington D. C. and appeared visually on the radar. The government denied this and claimed the radar was malfunctioning because of a temperature inversion. Although many different UFO stories are told everyday, the factor of the bodies makes Roswell stand out.

Upon the final impact of the craft at Roswell coming to a rest, the bodies of the crew were thrown out of the craft and left to die in the wreckage. A first-hand witnesses to the bodies, Mr. Gerald Anderson said they didnt have a little finger and his eyes was open, staring blankly. The aliens had no visible earsjust a rise there and then a hole, they were all wearing one piece suitsa shiny silverish gray color. Although it is probable that extraterrestrial bodies have come to earth and been recovered by authorities, this is one of the only instances where so many witnesses have come forward and claimed to have seen the beings.

The government explains the extraterrestrials by saying that they were really only parachute test dummies. The Pentagon says that witnesses were mistaken about the crash and that the dummies were actually from a project Mogul which was launched to monitor the atmosphere for evidence of Soviet Nuclear tests. Air Force Col. John Hayes said I have no other explanation for how recollections of bodies could be associated with the debris at Roswell a decade earlier.

Hayes points out the biggest flaw in the Air Forces explanation for the alien beings, the Roswell incident occurred in July of 1947 and Mogul did not occur until 1954. How could witnesses be mistaken about an incident as miraculous as the viewing of extraterrestrial bodies? UFO researcher Karl Pflock said, I think this is a real stretch, ordinary people could not mix up dates the way the government has implied. The dummies that were used in these high altitude tests had a skeleton of aluminum or steel, latex or plastic skin, and an instrument cavity in the torso and head.

This description of the dummies is far from the description of the alien bodies given by witnesses. Information about UFOs has been continually documented since before the Roswell incident and is still in existence some 50 years later. From the late 1940s until December of 1969 the government collected UFO files for public affairs that was called Project Blue Book. Project Blue Book had little effect on the UFO community who believes that the project was most likely used to give the false evidence to the public and keep the real evidence in classified vaults.

In 1966 the government enacted the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which when amended in 1974 allowed individuals to view their own files. UFOlogists began to request certain UFO documents by filing lawsuits, but found that their cases would not stand up against the supreme power of the land. When documents were finally turned over to these UFOlogists, they were very confusing and many were even marked through with black marker so that they could not be read. The National Security Agency is probably the most ultra-secret of all security branches of the government.

UFOlogist attorneys filed for the release of all UFO documents from the NSA but were told that no such documents existed. Then the NSA admitted that some 160 of these documents did exist but could not be released on the grounds of national security. If so many people believe in UFOs, then why not make the governments information available to the public for viewing if they desire to do so? By classifying information the government is merely submitting itself to the 5th Amendment. We cannot accurately blame the government for its denial but we know that it is present.

Even Nostradamus has prophesied on the existence of UFOs, When the aliens spaceship enters the atmosphere the fields will cause it to malfunction and many of the crew are killed. When they crash, soldiers will be on hand to capture or kill them. Nostradamus draws an eerie parallel to the Roswell incident and also to other less unknown UFO contacts that have happened worldwide. The US federal government owns miles of land throughout the Nevada and Arizona where it conducts top-secret activities that are believed to deal with alien technology.

Area 51 is the last big secret military base in the US. In 1997 the Air Force finally admitted that the ultra-secret Area 51 actually existed. The Air Force has admitted that the base was used to test Cold War-era aircraft, but authorities such as Colonel John Hanes are still reluctant to speak about the base. If you are talking about Groom Lake, NevadaQuite frankly, I have no knowledge or expertise in the matter, I understand there are classified things that go on there. That is all I have to say about it.

Whatever goes on in Area 51 may be a mystery, but what is certain is that 1,850 federal civilian workers are employed in ultra-high-security facilities in and near the range. There is uncertainty about what these people are employed to do, but they are among the highest paid federal employees, making nearly $59,000 per year. In 1993 the federal government initiated procedures to seize another 3,900 acres adjoining Groom Lake to seal off two public viewing site. It is common knowledge that the Cold War has ended and that our government possesses nuclear arms.

Why is the government so secretive if it is only performing routine tests? The people are aware that tests have occurred and continue to occur in the Midwest. It is time for the government to admit its activity and that it includes alien research. It is obvious that with so much research pointing to the existence of extraterrestrials, a growing number of people are beginning to look for the truth. Although some sightings are hoaxes, these are merely the peoples way of trying to show the government that people are beginning to wonder if life exists outside of earth.

According to a Newsweek poll, 48% of Americans believe UFOs are real, 29% believe we have made contact with aliens, and 48% believe there is a government plot to cover the whole thing up. Will the ongoing cover-up of the governments knowledge about extraterrestrial UFOs and their terrestrial activities, known as Cosmic Watergate ever end or will it continue until true documented contact is made? Instead of taking the governments side of fearing and denying new ideas, we must realize that amid the vast universe there is other life, and it has visited earth.

The Egyptians, who built their mammoth pyramids with only the use of man power, sed hieroglyphics.

The Roswell Incident is a UFO crash that occurred at 11:30 p. m. n July 4th, 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico (Randal 10).

A lot of them were part of the initial recovery team and are now telling their stories that ave been bottled up for nearly a half of a century (Randal 11).

This statement describes the type of material that was found at the site and has been described in his manner by numerous witnesses.

There are two soundless films showing the autopsy of one of the beings, known as the ray variety (“UFO Crash”), found at the Roswell crash scene.

This seems convincingly to be he autopsy of some kind of being and it does not appear to be the creation of a Hollywood special-effects lab, especially for the time that this film is dated at.

Roswell Incident Essay

Almost fifty years ago, an incident occurred in the southwestern desert of the United States that could have significant implications for all mankind. The incident was announced by the U. S. military, and denied by the U. S. military, and has remained covered-up in the government for the past fifty and hopefully not another fifty years. It is not a hoax or false claim, but rather a known event that is thoroughly documented.

It is the objective here is to summarize the details of the events and interviews of that event, affirm the right of all people throughout the world to know the truth about what occurred, and propose course of action that will allow the truth to emerge. It was July 1947, the day started out just like any other day. People of Roswell were going off to work, going downtown shopping, and the little ones were at playgrounds with their mothers. Day in and day out townspeople would drive by the military without giving it much thought.

However, this day, in Roswell, New Mexico would change the course of history, and how the public thinks of themselves, God and the outer limits of space! Roswell New Mexico was in the middle of the desert. Here was a vast open land where one could see miles around. On this afternoon something very strange was about to happen. In the clear skies of Roswell a very large craft ended its flight. Was this a weather balloon or an Unidentified Flying Object? There were many eye-witness reports of alien creatures lying next to their destroyed crafts. One or two may have survived for a few days.

The military quickly cornered off this area, removing the particles and the bodies. A local funeral director got a call for numerous child size coffins. He was to deliver them to the rear of the military base. Major Marcel was an officer on the scene who took part of the ship home. He spoke to the press about the crash, but soon told never to discuss it again. What he saw was a weather balloon. The press received a news release saying that a few officers had jumped to conclusions. To this day the government denies the fact that spaceships exists.

Is this a massive cover up or science fiction? My I-Search will delve into these questions. I will try to obtain the truth and allow my classmates to decide if we are being visited from other planets or not? I chose this topic because of my interest in space and whether life exists on other planets. Is Their technology is far more superior to ours? Why an’t we work together to solve the mysteries of the planets? I believe these aliens do exist and I will try to prove it! This will affect my life, because I’ve always wanted to know if anything or anyone else exists in the universe.

What if the government uncovered the truth? Would there be total chaos or would we want to meet other space beings? I hope to find out why the government is continuing to cover up the Roswell incident. Why haven’t the Presidents told us the truth since 1947? I will write to Washington and demand an answer. Happenings in 1947 On July 2, 1947, during the evening, a flying saucer crashed to the round at the Foster Ranch near, Corona, New Mexico. The crash occurred during a severe thunderstorm. ( The military base nearest to the crash site is in Roswell, New Mexico.

Roswell is more closely associated with this event than Corona, even though Corona is closer to the crash site. On July 3, 1947, William “Mac” Brazel and his 7 year-old neighbor Dee Proctor found the remains of the crashed flying saucer. Brazel was foreman of the Foster Ranch. The pieces were spread out over a large area, more than half a mile long. When Brazel drove Dee back home, he showed a piece of the reckage to Dee’s parents, Floyd and Loretta Proctor, they all agreed the piece was unlike anything they had ever seen.

On July 6, 1947, Brazel showed pieces of the wreckage to Chaves County Sheriff George Wilcox. He called Roswell Army Air Field (AAF) and talked to Major Marcel, the intelligence officer. Marcel drove to the sheriff’s office and inspected the wreckage. Marcel reported to his commanding officer, Colonel William “Butch” Blanchard. Butch ordered Marcel to get someone from the Counter Intelligence Corps, proceed to the ranch with Brazel, and to collect as much of the wreckage as they could load into their two vehicles.

Soon after this, military police arrived at the sheriff’s office, collected the wreckage at Blanchard’s office. The wreckage was then flown to Eighth Air Force headquarters in Fort Worth, and then to Washington. Meanwhile, Marcel and Sheridan Cavitt of the Counter Intelligence Corps drove to the ranch with Mac Brazel. They arrived late in the evening. They spent the night in sleeping bags in a small out-building on the ranch. The next morning proceeded to the crash site. On July, 7, 1947, Marcel and Cavitt collected wreckage from the crash site.

After filling Cavitt’s vehicle with wreckage Marcel told Cavitt to go on head, that Marcel would collect more wreckage, and they would meet later back at Roswell AAF. Marcel filled his vehicle with wreckage. On the way back to the air field, Marcel stopped home to show his wife and son the strange materials he had found. Soon after, at about 4:00 p. m. , Lyndia Sleppy at Roswell; radio station KSWS began transmitting a story on the teletype machine regarding a crashed flying saucer out on the Foster Ranch. Transmission was interrupted, presumably by the FBI.

The next day, July, 8, 1947, in the morning, Marcel and Cavitt arrived back at Roswell AAF with two carloads of wreckage. Marcel accompanied this wreckage, or most of it, on a flight to Fort Worth AAF. Later that day, around noon, Colonel Blanchard at Roswell AAF ordered Second Lieutenant Walter Haut to issue a press release telling the country that the Army had found the remains of a crashed flying saucer. Haut was the public information officer for the 509th Bomb Group at Roswell AAF. Haut delivered the press release to Frank Joyce at radio station KGFL.

Joyce waited long enough for Haut to return to base, then called Haut there to confirm the story. Joyce then sent the story on the Western Union wire to the United Press bureau. July 8, 1947, in the afternoon, General Clemence McMullen spoke by telephone from Washington with Colonel DuBose in Fort Worth. DuBose was Chief- of-staff to Eighth Air Force Commander General Roger Ramey. McMullen ordered DuBose to tell Ramey to squash the flying saucer story by creating a cover story, and to send some of the crash material immediately to Washington.

On July 8, 1947, in the afternoon, General Roger Ramey held a press conference at the Eighth Air Force headquarters in Fort Worth. He announced that what had crashed at Corona was a weather balloon, not a flying saucer. To ake this story convincing, he showed the press the remains of a damaged weather balloon that he claimed was the actual wreckage from the crash site. ( The obliging press did not ask why the Army hurriedly transported weather balloon wreckage to Fort Worth, Texas, from the remote area of New Mexico. Jaworski interview])

The only newspapers that carried the initial flying saucer version of the story were evening papers from the Midwest to the West, including the Chicago Daily News , The Los Angeles Herald Express, the San Francisco Examiner, and the Roswell Daily Record. The New York Times, the Washington Post, nd the Chicago Tribune were morning papers and so carried only the cover-up story the next morning. At some point, an ample amount of soldiers were sent to the debris field on the Foster Ranch, including a lot of MPs whose job was to limit access to the field.

A wide search was launched well beyond the limits of the debris field. Within a day or two, a few miles from the debris field, the main body of the flying saucer was found, and a mile or two from that several bodies of small humanoids were found. The military took Mac Brazel into custody for about a week, during which ime he was seen on the streets of Roswell with a military escort. His behavior aroused the curiosity of friends when he passed them without any sign of recognition. Following this period of detention, Brazel discarded his initial story [Internet UFO.

COM]. The Civilians Loetta Proctor (Interview held in 1990) Loretta Proctor, Mac Brazel’s nearest neighbor, was one of the first people to see pieces of the wreckage Brazel had found. She was interviewed in 1990. “Mac had this piece of material that he picked up. He wanted to show it to us and wanted us to go down and see the rest of the debris or whatever, but e didn’t on account of the transportation and everything wasn’t too good. He didn’t get anybody to come out who was interested in it.

The piece he brought looked like a kind of tan, lightbrown plastic. It was very lightweight, like balsa wood. It wasn’t a large piece, maybe about four inches long, maybe just a little longer than a pencil. We cut on it with a knife and would hold a match on it and it wouldn’t burn. We knew it wasn’t wood. It was smooth like plastic, it didn’t have a real sharp corners, kind of like a dowel stick. Kind of dark tan. It didn’t have any grain, just smooth. I hadn’t seen anything like it before in my life. ” Loretta said.

The following statement by Loretta Procyor suggests that Mac Brazel was bribed to keep quiet. [UFO. COM] “I think within that year, he had moved off the ranch and moved to Alamagordo or to Tularosa and he put something in a locker there. That was before people had home freezers, and it was a large refrigerator building. You would buy beef and cut it up and put it into those lockers and you had a key to it and you could get your beef out when you wanted it. I think it would have been pretty expensive, and kind of wonder how he could pay on rancher’s wages. “

The mysterious phenomenon of UFO

The mysterious phenomenon of UFO sightings seems worthy of serious scientific research. This is due to theories found within the field of ufology, past reported sightings, and credible information given out by the government. Ufologists should also be aware of past examples that have been successful from the astronomical community. Bernard Haisch is an astrophysicist, scientific editor of the Astrophysical Journal, and editor of the Journal of Scientific Exploration.

The Journal of Scientific Exploration (JSE), which Bernard edits, is a peer reviewed research journal in which scholarly investigations on phenomena not part of the currently accepted scientific paradigms may be published. UFO’s fall in this category, or more to the point, UFO’s certainly settle outside the realm of mainstream science (William Dudley). Bernard himself is not a UFO researcher, but, as an editor of an unconventional journal, he has been exposed to enough data and met enough serious investigators to become supportive of the need to carefully study whatever this phenomenon, or perhaps phenomena, may be.

His profession is that of an astronomer and by most criteria, apart from editing JSE, he is an insider in the scientific mainstream: author of research papers, principal investigator on NASA projects, associate editor of a leading journal in astrophysics (William Dudley). The field of astronomy is supported by hundreds of millions of dollars in government research funding every year, billions if one keeps track of such major missions as the Hubble Space Telescope. For the January 1996 meeting of the American Astronomical Society in San Antonio, the head of NASA, Daniel Goldin, flew down from Washington just to address the astronomers.

Goldin made it clear that NASA’s job is not to support astronomers. Nor is NASA’s job to employ engineers and astronauts to keep the shuttle flying. NASA’s job, said Goldin, is to serve the American people. He mentioned a talk he had given in Bozeman, Montana and the excitement that the Hubble pictures elicited there among the ordinary men and women of Montana, far removed from NASA centers. The fact that the announcement at the same astronomical society meeting of the discovery of two new planets orbiting the stars 70 Virginis and 47 Ursae Majoris made the front pages of major newspapers underscores this point.

People want to know about the universe. And people especially want to know whether there are other worlds capable of sustaining life. The search for the origins of life and for other planetary systems is now a cornerstone objective for NASA. Goldin discussed visionary plans to image other solar systems using huge space-based interferometers in the new millenium (Dudley). He challenged the astronomers to find ways to photograph clouds and mountains on earth-like planets in other solar systems, which must be one of the most scientifically ambitious statements ever made by a head of NASA.

This, in his view, is what the American people want from NASA; and Bernard has no doubt that he is correct is his assessment. Bernard now models a good lesson for ufology. If various public opinion polls are to be believed, there may be more Americans who believe there is something going on having to do with UFO’s than not. It even seems probable, though Bernard does not know this to be the case, that there are more people who “believe in” UFO’s than have heard about the Hubble. If that is the case, Goldin’s lesson for NASA would apply here too.

If the American people truly want the UFO problem officially investigated, the government should do that by and by. That does not automatically mean NASA of course. Despite many appearances to the contrary, UFO’s may have nothing to do with our outer space as astronomers view the universe (William Dudley). So how would one bring about government-sponsored research analogous to that of astronomy or the other sciences? As Goldin urged us to do on behalf of NASA’s research: write, call, visit your representatives and senators.

NASA funds astronomical research because the American people want this; even if most of it is too private for public consumption, the highlights such as Hubble images and first extra-solar planets do make the newspapers and people read with interest about what their tax dollars are paying for. But there is a second key ingredient that really needs to come first, and all the grassroots lobbying will come to naught until this second point that Goldin made to the astronomers is translated into action in the most extreme cases of ufology.

Given a mandate to support such research, who decides what exactly will be done? Goldin reminded the astronomers that it is their responsibility to come up with NASA’s equal orders for the start of a new century. The community of astronomers must reach consensus on prioritizing projects, and he made it clear that those investigators whose projects may not make the cutoff, owing to fiscal limitations, are still obligated as members of the research community to support those that are selected.

Community census and support of an agreed-upon plan, even by those who lost in the proposal competitions, is necessary. Without that, the money would eventually stop flowing (William Dudley). There is a probable roadblock for ufology. There in Bernard’s view, is the principal reason civilian government money has never started flowing, or even trickling. There are many possible factors in this ranging from sincere and professionally motivated difference of opinion, to lack of understanding of scientific methods, focus on personal aggrandizement rather than objectivity, paranoia, etc.

To be fair to the principals of objectivity and comprehensiveness one must also acknowledge the possibility that the disarray of ufology may be partially driven by official or semi-official disinformation, or even, taking the view of the respected researcher Jaques Vallee, by the UFO phenomenon itself (Dudley). But even if those darker possibilities were true, it would still be possible to press ahead if a leadership and a position could be agreed upon, at least a dependent one, a provisional one to get started, one that can be reevaluated after things get going.

Someone has a better chance at arriving at a destination even if they drive the car in the wrong direction and has to turn around, that even if no one is ever selected to start the car and pull out of the driveway. Bernard states he has no desire to become a ufology leader, nor is he here to recommend to you in who such leadership should be vested. His message is simple but down-to-earth even in today’s budget climate because it is meeting a demonstrable request of the American public and has the professional structure, status and behavior to effectively translate that command into funded programs.

The public mood is in fact more and more open to new ideas and is certainly happily interested in the possibility of other intelligent life in the universe, including the possibility of evidence for such right here under our noses. It is thinkable that this could be turned into a public mandate for government-sponsored UFO research. But that can only happen if ufologists can somehow follow the successful example of the astronomical community (William Dudley). This is difficult. Ph. D’s are not conferred by respected institutions as they are in astrophysics. But there are things that can be done to start the process.

Genuinely scholarly papers can be written, which the Journal of Scientific Exploration would consider, for example. Note that Bernard is not trying to solicit papers; the Journal is highly selective and turns down more articles than are accepted. Journal articles are one way to interest mainstream scientists. In fact, eliciting the interest of mainstream scientists is a key factor in raising the level of UFO respectability. This is extremely difficult in the present environment of confusion, but this could change. A 1977 poll of American astronomers, published in JSE, showed the following.

Out of 2611 questionnaires 1356 were returned. In response to whether the UFO problem deserved further study the replies were: 23% certainly, 30% probably, 27% possibly, 17% probably not, 3% certainly not. Interestingly, there was a positive correlation between the amount of reading done on the subject and the opinion that further study was in order. Professional researchers would be likely to lose interest if there was complete lack of credible data. This shows a surprisingly high level of potential interest that could be brought into the open if a proper professional structure could be provided.

Scientists value their reputations, and perceived danger of contaminating one’s hard reputation by association with a shameful activity is a major obstacle (Dudley). There is also a kind of non-linear downward spiral. Scientists are both very busy and put off by the appearance of much of ufology. Given the proper environment this could presumably be turned into a favorable upward non-linearity: Given “evidence of evidence,” credibly seriously presented, the interest of scientists can be irritated, which would presumably lead to the “discovery” by scientists that there is evidence (William Dudley).

Two other obstacles are irrationality and paranoid claims. People cannot avoid the possibility that , as Vallee argues, the element of irrationality may be the actual key and purpose of the phenomenon so as to force a change in human consciousness (Dudley). This would not be welcome news for the apparently large patronage of nuts-and-bolts saucer enthusiasts, nor probably for those who take all abduction reports at face value. And this would be very difficult for science to deal with because it is at first glance a frontal assault on science itself. But consider the coming of quantum mechanics and relativity in the early 1900’s.

Those were frontal assaults on the prevalent classical physics that must be looked like madness to many physicists of the day. We don’t read about them of course. The textbooks contain the Einstein’s and Planck’s and other geniuses who prevailed, not the army of “ordinary physicist” whose careers and worldviews looked to be shattered by what must have seemed irrational to them. But life went on and science even advanced (William Dudley). Scientists are also certainly not used to the possibility that a phenomenon under investigation may be subject to covert manipulation.

This may be the greatest obstacle because of the small possibility that there may be some truth to it. It is not so hard to imagine that there may be a great deal of classified information, but that would not by itself imply any greater comprehension concerning the nature of the phenomenon by those holding-and withholding-the data. The Journal of Scientific Exploration is publishing formerly classified information concerning multi-million dollar remote viewing (ESP) programs funded by the CIA and other intelligence agencies over the past 20 years.

Projects that were highly secret a decade or two ago are now a matter of public record. This proves that no matter how “top secret” something is, eventually the public will find out about it. This demonstrates two things directly analogous to the UFO situation: yes, there really were classified ESP programs as claimed; but no, the vaunted government agencies were not able to come to deeper conclusions regarding the nature of that phenomenon than was then or is now publicly available.

The two public reports-by Jessica Utts and by Ray Hyman-on this 20-year effort disagree on the strength of the evidence for remote viewing. The view of the three leading figures in this program, Harold Puthoff, Russel Targ and Edwin May, with all of whom Bernard has had in-depth discussions, is that there were astonishing successes in a fraction of the cases. Unfortunately there was no way to distinguish in advance what would be signal from what would be noise, hence the program could not achieve its required operational intelligence potential. William Dudley).

Only in the unlikely circumstance that the most paranoid vision of government conspiracy with non-earthly intelligence’s should prove to be true would the existence of classified programs interfere a successful, open, funded research program, or by turning it into a fake to further cover “the top secret truth. ” In any case, nothing would be gained by letting suspicions of this kind stop the attempt to verify an open research program.

Indeed, such efforts would perhaps point to valuable indicators of conflict, if there were. It seems from Bernard’s unique advantage point as both scientist and editor of JSE that substantial evidence exists of “something going on. ” But in the real world of competition and politics and entrenched positions that by itself will not move the UFO disputes off square one. Evidence needs to be properly analyzed and then properly presented using techniques and venues as close as possible to those of mainstream science.

The difference in the evidence appears to be confusing enough without layers of unproven theory and conspiracy. Somehow out of organization of evidence there could originate not the truth-that is too much-but there could arise a consensus on simply what to do next, who could plan it, who would execute it, how would money be spent in a responsible, accountable, way if made available.

The outcome would not be “the answer” but simply and sufficiently the input for the next logical follow-on. If such a scientifically aligned process could be started, scientists could be attracted; grassroots political lobbying could then point to realistic funding opportunities that a representative or senator would want to vote for and praise at the next election as his or her contribution to the proper needs and wishes of the public.

Even if the UFO phenomenon should turn out to be deeper than we imagine, even should it prove to rise above science as we know it, the scientific approach is the only feasible way in the real, political, economic, technological world we live in to give us some chance to control our dealings with this phenomenon, rather than letting the phenomenon entirely control usif it might be. Is it too much to think that the government could be using UFO’s as a decoy for something else they’re hiding? Approaching this scientifically, this research could also prove to be a hoax. Only time will tell us what the truth really is.

The issue of UFOs

After a year and a half of analysis Dr.

Unidentified flying objects (UFO’s) or flying saucers

Almost every civilization in history that has kept a written history has recorded the sightings of strange objects and lights in the skies. These objects have been described as glowing wheels, colored balls of light, and disk shaped objects. Today unexplained aerial phenomena are generally referred to as unidentified flying objects (UFO’s) or flying saucers. The effects of extra terrestrial sightings can have an adverse effect on people if influenced the wrong way. No solid proof has shown that UFO’s are real, but many sightings cannot be proven otherwise.

The media, stories, or one’s own experience may often influence what one believes. The government once stated that they had captured extra terrestrials. (60 minutes, CBS) On the contrary, most scientists now agree that almost all sightings and stories of extra terrestrials are not authentic. The United States government has records of thousands of UFO sightings since 1948, including photos of alleged UFOs and interviews with people who claim to have seen them. Since UFOs were considered a potential security risk, the report on these sightings was originally classified as secret.

Craig, 917) When the report was later declassified it showed that 90 percent of all UFO sightings could be easily explained. Most of the sightings turned out to be celestial objects, such as stars or bright planets like Venus, or atmospheric events such as auroras or meteors falling through the atmosphere. Many other sightings turned out to be objects such as weather balloons, satellites, aircraft lights, or formations of birds. Often these sightings were accompanied by unusual weather conditions.

Only 5. ercent of these cases were not explained. Testimonies by people are often very inaccurate and dramatized. People have the tendency to explain everything they see, which is not usually completely accurate. The unaided human eye can be tricked into hallucination and has an inaccurate depth perception. Reflections from windows and eyeglasses can provide an optical illusion of a UFO. Radar is much more reliable to identify objects, but it cannot detect many characteristics that separate natural phenomena and physical objects.

Radar often picks up ionized gas, rain, or thermal discontinuities. Electronic interference is also a frequent problem. Either way, scientists are left with many unanswered questions. There are many mysteries about UFO’s with many indefinite answers. Many investigators have tried to solve some peculiar questions about UFO’s, but many of their conclusions cannot be proven. In 1968 the United States Air Force asked Edward U. Condon, a physicist at the University of Colorado, to head a panel studying the claims of extraterrestrial crafts.

Unidentified Flying Objects, Encarta encyclopedia) The committee’s final report was reviewed by a special committee of the National Academy of Sciences and released in early 1969. The 37 scientists who contributed to the report interviewed UFO witnesses and studied physical and photographic evidence. The report, also known as the Condon Report, concluded that not only was there no evidence of extraterrestrial control of UFOs but also that no further UFO studies were needed. Their advice was accepted by the United States, but for other independent laboratories it was not enough.

Whether or not a person believes UFO’s are, in fact, real or not is probably because of influence from the media. For instance, the smash hit movie Independence Day was a movie about aliens attacking Earth so they can keep it for themselves. The company that made the movie, FOX, has been promoting extra terrestrial ideas to bring media attention to UFO’s. The company bought the stretch of highway 375 outside the mysterious secret military base named Area 51, which plays an important part in the movie. In it, several aliens were captured and stored along with their aircraft.

In fact, the government has announced that it has captured aliens and their aircraft, but that was later denied. (Woolward, 912) This has been said to be the cause of the vast amount of UFO reports since 1948. The government also denied that Area 51 even existed for several years, even though it had been photographed many times. Today, the military base is thought to be a very heavily guarded test sight for many stealth planes in development for the military, including some possible “flying saucers”. This sight is responsible for several of the military’s top planes used today.

Local residents persist that they have never seen any UFO’s that couldn’t be explained by the military’s aerial experiments. Tourists swear they have seen several UFO’s that couldn’t be anything else but extra terrestrial. Many magazines and tabloids visit the area to report about such sightings and print there own far-fetched ideas. People interpret these articles in many different ways. Because there is no true proof of any extra terrestrial crafts, people are forced to make their own decisions about reality.

For instance, in March 1997, thirty-nine people committed suicide to join with “Ti and Do”, two “UFO forces”. Printed on their page on the Internet, it stated, “Our 22 years of classroom here on planet Earth is finally coming to conclusion – ‘graduation’ from the Human Evolutionary Level. We are happily prepared to leave ‘this world’ and go with Ti’s crew. ” (Heaven’s Gate, WWW) Such cases like these are extreme, but recent studies have shown that fifty percent of America does believe that there is life on other planets that may be trying to visit us.

However, the majority of these people do not worry about any unwelcome situation. Opinions may vary, but until any conclusive evidence can be shown that life is visiting Earth from somewhere out in space, it is safe to say that humans are alone in their home planet. It is possible that this theorem will be proved wrong in the future, but until then all any person can do is guess, hope, and wait. What the future holds for Earth may not be what is expected, but until then scientists will be examining all the evidence to help provide a better future for the home to life as we now know it.

The Egyptians, who built their mammoth pyramids with only the use of man power, sed hieroglyphics.

The Roswell Incident is a UFO crash that occurred at 11:30 p. m. n July 4th, 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico (Randal 10).

A lot of them were part of the initial recovery team and are now telling their stories that ave been bottled up for nearly a half of a century (Randal 11).

This statement describes the type of material that was found at the site and has been described in his manner by numerous witnesses.

There are two soundless films showing the autopsy of one of the beings, known as the ray variety (“UFO Crash”), found at the Roswell crash scene.

This seems convincingly to be he autopsy of some kind of being and it does not appear to be the creation of a Hollywood special-effects lab, especially for the time that this film is dated at.

Only the lack of a navel and the black membrane over the eyes bewilder me. qtd. n Walker 38)

What if we believed UFOs exist

UFOs are a hot, controversial subject. We still don’t know what these objects are, or whether they really exist. Conventional wisdom tells us that the majority of ufo sightings are false reports, fueled by mass hysteria, and people who tend to be mentally unstable. What if we believed UFOs exist? How do we rationally explain UFO behavior? Witnesses report time, and time again incredible right angle turns at enormous velocities, and instant stops. There have been reports that UFOs change their shapes, colors, and disappear instantly. UFOs violate a very important law hat far too many people neglect to bring up – this law is the law of physics.

In media reports we have heard of the Air Force testing some kind of “black project” aircraft. code named “Aurora”. According to news accounts, this high altitude hypersonic aircraft creates powerful vertical, earthquake like jolts, felt by thousands of Southern California residents, as it passes high over head in excess of four thousand miles per hour. Scientist will tell you that any thing that burns a propellant in a reaction chamber, and then directs the exhaust products of that reaction out of a nozzle can e classified as a rocket. The Aurora’s propulsion system is obviously rocket-like. It makes alot of noise.

So, it follows, then, that any rocket capable of the tremendous speed and maneuvering attributed to UFOs would be impossible not to notice. 4 But the majority of UFO witnesses report hearing nothing like the continuous, low frequency rumbling sounds, or jolts that would be expected to accompany fuel combustion propulsion based rockets; nor do they report seeing the kind of exhaust products that you would expect to see with rockets.

So were forced to eliminate all present solid, and chemical fuel based ockets, and even futuristic propulsion schemes like nuclear electric ion rockets, interstellar hydrogen fusion ramjets, and the biggie….. nti-matter annihilation rockets as candidates for the propulsion on UFOs. Our biggest problem in a nut shell is the Einstein barrier: the exhaust speed of the propellant relative to a rocket is limited to three hundred thousand kilometers per second which also happens to be the speed of light in a vacuum cleaner. To date this barrier prevents practical interstellar travel because a physically unreasonable amount of conventional fuel is needed to get close to the speed of ight in a rocket.

Any starship built on proven or unproven principles of rocket propulsion (star trek spaceship) would still need to generate much more energy than is generated on Earth every year. The manufacturing costs would be many more times the gross national products of America, all of Europe, and Japan combined. So, we are now faced with a huge physical, and economic problem that can not be tossed aside, over come, or solved. So if you want to see the starship enterprise don’t look toward the stars turn on your television and watch star trek.

American-Made Aliens

A recent, nation wide poll shows that 45 percent of Americans today believe Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO’s) have visited Earth in some form (Rhodes 18). The same poll taken in the 1950’s shows that under four percent of the US people believed aliens even exist. What could have caused the American people to go from under four percent believing in the existence of UFO’s in the 1950’s, to almost half today? This question is easily answered when one opens a TV guide or checks the newspaper when deciding what movie to see on a Friday night.

With the mass media hype, the ever-increasing movie production, and the millions spent on new merchandise every year, it is not hard to see how so many Americans today have been fooled into believing Aliens exist. Some time during the first week of July 1947, a local New Mexico rancher, Mac Brazel, was on his way out to check his sheep after a long, hard rain and lightning storm the night before. On his way out to the pasture, he noticed a large amount of unusual debris. As he looked closer, he noticed there was a long gouge several hundred feet in the ground with strange, unrecognizable debris all over the area (Missler 54).

Brazel gathered a few of the pieces, took them to his neighbors to ask them what they thought it might be, and eventually decided to drive into Roswell, the local town, and show the pieces to the sheriff. The sheriff, George Wilcox, contacted the Roswell Army air field, and began investigating the matter. It wasn’t long after, when the military stepped in, sealed off the area for a few days, and gathered all the debris, flying it to a different air field in Dayton, Ohio. Because of the way the military had covered up the findings, and the secrecy involved, it wasn’t long before the press got a hold of the incident, and took off with it.

Before a week had passed, almost all the locals of that Roswell town were believing that an alien space craft had crash landed in Mac Brazel’s pasture, and that the government was stepping in to cover it up. Hundreds of people began stepping forward, claiming that they saw the wreckage, and that they believed themselves that it was the remains of a crashed alien space craft. Because of how hard the Air Force tried to convince the people it was nothing more than a weather balloon that had crash landed due to the violent storm, and how much effort they put into keeping people quiet about what they saw, it sparked more and more interest.

Since then, Roswell, has actually become the single most famous “alien siting” location in America. If one were to travel through Roswell today, they would be amazed at all the alien toys, movies, clothes, shops, museums, and other paraphernalia. In fact, every year, in July, hundreds of alien supporters from all over the American and even some parts of the world journey to Roswell to celebrate the birthday of the supposed alien crash landing and visit all the alien museums and retail stores in the town. So what actually happened at Roswell?

Well, this was something that has been debated about for many many years. It wasn’t until June, 1997 that the Air Force made their official statements about the Roswell incident released the report for all to see. The military officers in charge have made every part of the 231-page report public. In the report, they explain what happened, and why they wanted to keep it a secret. The Air Force had been working on a new jet they had been designing, the KC-97G, and was testing its durability in the rain/bad weather.

Due to internal electrical problems, the plane crashed in the sheep’s pasture of Mac Brazel. Because of wanting to keep the new plane a secret, and not allow foreign nations to find out about it, the Air Force attempted to covered up the entire thing, and called it a weather balloon crash (Space Invaders 2). Kent Jeffrey, one of the men in charge of investigating the crash site reported; “No UFO crashed at Roswell-with or without aliens. It did not happen. Period. ” Kent Jeffrey collected more than 20,000 signatures from people opposed to secrecy about the Roswell matter (Space Invaders 3).

Acording to Star News Services, the vast majority of ALL UFOlogists now agree with the Airforce that the Roswell Incident was not really a UFO and agree with the Airforce’s explanation. Though the Roswell incident is the biggest “alien event” to occur in the history of the US, gaining more press coverage and national interrest than any other alien phenomenon, the Roswell incident is only one of many “sightings” alien supporters are using to back up their claim that aliens exist, and are making landings, visits, and flights on and around our planet every year.

What most people don’t know is that over 90 percent of all UFO reports prove to be IFO’s. -Identified Flying Objects (Rhodes 62). With the help of the media, the movie industry, and large merchandise corporations, anti-government and pro-alien supporters have successfully convinced a whopping 71 percent of Americans today that our US government wants us to believe that we are alone and are even taking measures to keep things like alien sightings from us (Rhodes 18). Is this true?

To date, no one has produced any evidence of a government Alien/UFO cover-up” (Rhodes 60). A senior researcher for the Committee for Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal recently said; “There is no evidence that men in black are anything other than hoaxes or urban legendsIt just grows and every so often, is renewed. These things never go away” (Rhodes 60). The belief that our government is covering up alien sightings is as fictional as the hit TV show that bases many of its shows on this phony belief, The X-Files.

Astronomer Alan Hale once said, “If you are making an extraordinary claim, the burden is on you to produce the extraordinary evidence to prove that you are correct; the burden is not on me to prove that you are wrong” (Rhodes 57). Following this statement by Hale, The ICR (Institute for Creation Research) made the statement “To date, there is not one iota of real evidence in either science or the Bible that intelligent beings were either evolved or created anywhere in the universe except on earth. In any case, it is the planet earth which is the focal point of God’s interest in the Universe.

There is no need to look, because there couldn’t be anyone out there. ” It is understandable that alien supporters would be angered by statements like this, but the fact is, there hasn’t been one artificial signal from space logged by NASA despite many determined efforts (Easterbrook 1). In addition, almost every UFO sighting can be easily dismissed as mistakenly identified planets, rocket launchings, weather balloons, and various atmosphere phenomena (Rhodes 119). In fact, there are over 7087 man-made objects in spaceoften being mistook for UFO’s by people all over the earth (Rhodes 65).

In no way have alien supporters came close to proving that aliens are anything more real than the cute, extra-terrestrial flying saucers in the movie Batteries not Included. Allen Hynek, a well-known scientist, has made a recent statement; “If UFO’s are indeed somebody else’s nuts and bolts hardware, then we must still explain how such tangible hardware can change shape before our eyes, vanish in a Cheshire cat mannerseemingly melt away in front of us without apparent detection by persons nearby or in neighboring towns. We must wonder, too where UFO’s are hiding when not manifesting themselves to human eyes” (Missler 78).

Hynek makes a good point that even if these aliens are from another planet, they would still be under our laws of physics. The fact that so many of the reported sightings break our laws of physics, supports the conclusion that the sightings may be UFO’s, but have nothing to do with aliens space crafts, or aliens period. Whether or not aliens do exist far, far away, Americans should realize the chance that they have or are currently visiting our planet are nearly impossible, and hasn’t been close to proven in any way. This is something the media and pro-alien activists have worked hard at getting us all to believe in.

UFO Phenomenons Essay

Two brothers by the name of Jesse and John noticed an odd looking metallic structure down the hill near their house in Rogerville, Tennessee. When they turned around, a very tall slender humanoid-like being emitted a bright light from his stick and thats when he and his brother blacked out. When Jesse awoke, he found himself being carried through metal corridors, and then he was placed on a cold table. Although Jesse was able to observe the surroundings, he said he was also paralyzed (Confirmation). Do you believe this story to be true of false?

This is just one of many astonishing stories that have been told. Since the words unidentified flying objects were first used, there have been a few selected examples that can provide plausible proof for their existence. The history of UFOs and flying saucers surprisingly has been reported as early as 100 BC by Julius Obsequens. He was a 4th century Latin Poet who wrote, At sunset a circular object like a shield was seen to sweep across the sky from West to East (Tracker 12). Strange sightings have been seen and written about but were never officially recorded as UFOs.

In 1656, a Jesuit priest and scholar, Athanasius Kircher, wrote a book about two Angles that accompanied him on an out-of-body travel to the moon, sun, and five planets (Fitzgerald 4). These are just a couple of examples of early phenomenon, but it was not until the middle of the 20th century that mankind finally had the technology to fly and create an Air Force. It was an Air Force department search team that reported a strange sighting over the mountain peaks near the northern Pacific.

Kenneth Arnold, a businessman and a veteran pilot, saw nine objects flying around the peaks similar to saucer plates skipping across water. At the time of the sight, Kenneth Arnold was assisting the Air Force to search for a C-46 transport plane, which was reported to be missing. Reporters from all over the country received reports of the incident and consequently ran articles, which credited Arnold for the term flying saucers (Hendry 12). This then created a domino effect with people throughout the country reporting to have seen UFOs.

According to a 1978 Gallup Poll, 13 million Americans have encountered aerial objects that they could not identify (1). The complete book of UFOs stated that fifty percent of the American people think UFOs are real and that there are humanoid type beings like us that live on other plants in the universe (12). UFOs debunked as identified flying objects (IFOs) like weather phenomenons, planets, stars, man-made aerial crafts, vivid imaginations, and if anything else hoaxes.

The reason for the confusion between UFOs and IFOs is because scientists believe average people cannot tell the difference between the two or have the knowledge about astronomy. In the middle of the century, amidst the paranoia of the Cold War, people were frightful of spy-like air crafts and missiles from the other powering nations. Skeptics believe that this was the reason why it was known as the American quirk (Hendry 7). Americans were searching and anticipating some sort of objects from the sky.

This was about the same time our government began having secret test flights and nuclear bombings. If a person was at the right vicinity, some people did indeed witness unusual flying objects made by mankind for the government. Since the government wanted to conceal their project from the American people, common folks therefore could not conceive nor explain the strange technologies that the government tried to build. What people could not recognize were assumed as UFOs. From The UFO Handbook, most IFOs are just the stars and planets doing things in an unusual array of lights.

Thirty-five percent of all IFO encounters are related to the illusions that stars and planets make under special circumstances. That is the reason why reported times are usually from dusk until dawn. Science contends that with the right angle of light source, and at a certain time of day, starlight can be refracted into a rapid sequence of colors. Astronomers claim that stars can be made to appear in motion due to long staring and the involuntary jerking movements of the human eye. A number of people have reported that stars are UFOs simply because it was following them. This is not true.

Scientists determined that bright stars and planets have the illusions of following moving vehicles because the vehicle itself is in motion and the person was looking at the star, therefore having the illusion that the star or planet was following them (Hendry 26). Skepticism about UFOs result from the hoaxes and stereotypes about the people who claimed to witnesses. These witnesses are stereotyped as mid-American folks whose relation with their families is anything but virtues. These are the kind of people who thinks that the and that their main hobby is to make moonshine to drink.

In reality, most witnesses are not believed to be credible and are thought to lack a sense for reasoning. As bob Park, a physicist at University of Maryland stated, Calling in all the people who have seen strange things just gets you a roomful of strange people (Kestenbaum 21). Scientist who discredited witnesses as strange of crackpots, should have had reevaluated their statements when they heard reports about UFOs during the Apollo 11 mission. On July 19, 1969, the crewmembers of Apollo 11 spotted an energy force pacing with the capsule showing a sign of intelligence.

Neil Armstrong went to retrieve the camera, but the object vanished. All these information were transmitted back to the base where Walter Cronkite, a highly respected news anchor, stated, Neil Armstrong is not a man given to fanciful imagination and it wasnt just one of the crewmembers that saw it- they all did, and you have to respect those men (Oberg 38). That night, astronauts experienced more than just landing on the moon. If astronauts cannot be credible then I dont know who is. In the late 1940s, UFO sightings rose to new heights.

To keep all the sightings under control from the public, the government developed projects such as the Grudge (1940-52), Sign (1948-49), and the Blue Book (1953-69) (Sagan, Thorton 54). The government acknowledged the projects gut did not admit to any such cover up. If so, then why is it that under section III, any pilot who reveals an official UFO report can be imprisoned for one to ten years and fined up to $10,000 (Title 18, U. S. Code, 793) (Keyhoe 13). In the Roswell incident in 1947, the Army first came out and stated at the first press meeting that they retrieved a flying saucer at Corona, New Mexico.

The very next day, after the CIA arrived, the Army coincidentally retracted their first statement and said that it was only a government weather balloon (ISUR. com). It was very interesting that the Army could not recognize their own weather balloon until the CIA was there. The government then confirmed that the alien bodies were test dummies used to test the experimental parachutes. In the Army record, the parachute tests were not tested for another five years after the incident (Confirmation). In 1955, the Maier sisters reported a recorded radio sound to be of alien messages.

When the government heard about the radio sounds, they sent two officers from the Contact Division (CD) to investigate the tape. The officers then confiscated the tapes to be analyzed. They found messages to be plain old Morse code. Leon Davidson, an UFOlogist who heard about the story, did not believe the government that easily. Davidson found out that the officers were not actually from the Air Force Agency, but from the CIA. When Davidson wrote the letters asking what agency analyzed the tape, neither accepted the responsibility.

Realizing that there was something wrong with the consistency of the stories, Davidson asked the names of the Morse code operator and the agency where it had come from. The CIA agreed to help. The CIA phoned Davidson to tell him that since the signal was of known U. S. origin, the tape and notes had been destroyed to conserve file space (Haines 11-12). It is hard to dispute that UFOs are merely illusions, weather phenomenon, of hoaxes. Ancient witnesses made claims of falling meteors from the sky, but it took science two centuries to accept the fact (Koemer 52).

Just like witnesses to the meteors, people were not taken seriously and they were probably labeled crackpots and ignorant back then as well. There may be thousands of reports and maybe 90% are identified as IFOs, but doesnt science need to acknowledge that the other 10% be handled more seriously? There are plenty of credible witnesses who say something and there were plenty of unexplainable photos. Of all the photos collected, the most plausible UFO photos ever taken, UFOlogist selected the simple black-and-white snapshots taken by Paul Trent, a farmer in McMinnville, Oregon.

The photo was taken on May 11, 1950; when Trent, his father-in-law and wife had seen a pieplane flying machine. When the film was developed, Trent showed it to his friend Frank Wortman, a local banker who displayed the pictures in the backs window. A news reporter spotted the photos and published them. When the photos circulated in the newspapers and magazines, the FBI and the Air Force got a hold of the photo and interviewed the Trents. The picture then disappeared for 17 years until it was found in a new wire photo archive.

Skeptics, up until this day, would not disparage the Trents integrity, and no financial motive for having faked UFO pictures. The Trents never receive a dime for their photo. Computers analyzed the photo, but researchers could not find any strings, and the smooth bottom and sharp edges suggested an artificial object (Wilson 63). On NBC, they interviewed a dozen or more witness to an unusual sighting in Trumbull County, Ohio 1999. Most of the witnesses happened to be law officers and a dispatcher. The dispatchers boards were lit up that one particular evening in the city of Liberty Township in Trumbull County.

She was getting calls about a strange object lurking in the sky with multiple colors of lights. The dispatcher then relayed the news to the officers so they can check the problems. Sgt. Toby Meloro decided to investigate the matter. He went to the source where it was last seen and an old man told him it went north. Sgt. Meloro proceeded and started noticing the light in the sky. When the strange object hovered over his vehicle, the vehicles power shut down completely. This was when the officer decided to step out of his car and look directly up towards the bright light.

That moment he noticed the colors were changing from white to green to red. Slowly the aircraft proceeded down the road towards Brookfield Township. What was peculiar to the officer was that the UFO did not make any noise at all. What he found even stranger was that his car started back on as soon as the aircraft moved away. Lt. James Baker from Brookfield Township decided to take a look at what all the fuss was about. Baker drove to an abandoned radio tower and climbed all the way to the top. The tower was about 60 ft tall, so the officer was high enough to see the other side of town.

On the tower Baker say three UFOs hovering over the other side of town. One was in the middle just above the other two, making a triangle formation. Another officer saw the objects with a pair of binoculars and even claimed the UFOs had shape and structure (Confirmation). When skeptics cant discredit the witnesses of the photos, some skeptics want more. Some cynics who had seen the Trent photo wanted more credible witnesses, but when skeptics heard about the Tumbull County incident, cynics wanted photos. Well, the obvious is very clear that skeptics would not be satisfied until there was both credible witnesses and photos.

In Brazil, the Brazilian navy set up a weather station on the small rocky island of Trindade, in the South Atlantic Ocean. In January 1958, observers began spotting unusual aerial activity. On the night of January 16, 1947 crewmembers of the Brazilian naval vessel Almirante Saldanha had seen a flying disc object above the mountaintop. Amongst the navy crewmembers was a civilian photographer who snapped a series of six photos. The photos were developed on board the vessel, and then they were turn over to the Brazilian Navy Ministry. Analyst determined the photos to be authentic and concluded they showed a 150 ft. a. Object moving at 600 mph (Wilson 65).

Given the number of witnesses and numerous photos analysis that even the skeptics finally ran short on explanations. Does this mean that skeptic will convert to side of the believers? No, on the contrary now skeptics wanted more tangible evidence. They wanted real alien objects. Thousands of people reported that they have seen UFOs, but very few have claimed to have actually been abducted by aliens. One man only Paul from the video taken by NBC on Wednesday 16, 1999, claimed that he was taken by aliens. On a routine exam, Paul had his body x-rayed from top to bottom.

What the doctors had seen were very tiny foreign objects appearing all over his body. Some doctors dismiss it only as injuries that were caused by sharp objects when he was younger, so that was why he could not remember most of these objects. One particular object lodged in his right thumb was the most bizarre. The reason being is that if the object cut its way in, then why were there no scars? That got some doctors interested. Paul the abductee decided to have surgery to remove the foreign object. The doctor cut his thumb open, and removed what to analyze the object was to break it open to get the elements from the inside.

At the University of Texas at San Antonio, Robert K. Smith, Ph. D. crushed the object and used the inside of the material to analyze. After a careful and thorough analysis, the elements of the foreign object did not match with the 65,000 known substances I their computer file (Confirmation). There are so many things that we do not know. Take for example that science has yet concluded real solid evidence that we evolved from apes. They talk about missing links, but all they have is theories. These are the some of the same scientists that debunks UFOs before they could really understand.

This subject is as complex as evolution and the Bible, and no one seems to really know what is true and what is not. Just like the falling meteor incident, maybe there is a bit of truth in everything. We have learned different types of ethnicity, ages, structural classes, and credible and non-credible witnesses have reported UFO sightings. My reasoning for believing in UFOs is the incidents I have presented can not dismiss there existence of prove the skeptics correct. We cannot be the only life forms in this universe because there is so much that we dont know.

The Effects of UFO’s on People

The committee’s final report was reviewed by a special committee of the National Academy of Sciences and released in early 1969.

Can the Earth be the only place in the Universe that harbors life

Most astronomers don’t believe this is true. Certain statistics in the Universe provide evidence that living beings may be common place through out the universe, on planets of other stars besides the sun. In this paper I plan to discuss the various viewpoints of those that believe that extraterrestrials exist and have even been visiting Earth, and the viewpoints of skpetics that believe that aliens don’t exist and have not been visiting Earth. To get into the topic we must first start at the base of the subject.

First the question must be ealt with of life being only indigenous to planet Earth. One of the most basic materials that are essential to form life are basic carbon compounds. These carbon compounds are very abundant throughout the Universe. Carbon compounds exist not only on planets but on comets and free floating asteroids and gas clouds in space. Although, even with the abundance of all these compunds in the Universe the chances of these compounds forming into living beings aren’t so great, however it is true that the odds of carbon forming into life sustaining compounds is greatly increased with an increase in time.

The Universe works on a basis backward to the human way of thinking. The Universe becomes more orderly with time while we would tend to think that time breaks down structures. This means to us that the chances of life evolving on any part of the Universe increases as time moves forward. Another factor that is necessary for life evolving is a Star’s size. Our Sun is a very ordinary star in terms of it size and temperature. Statistics show that there are billions of stars like the sun in our galaxy alone. ( Henbest & Couper, 1989, paragraph 5 ) Life evolving in one of these star ystems may have developed in the same way humans have.

Philosophers have argued for centures about how to define life. If we study living things on the Earth, we find that there are some very basic characteristics that will guide us when we consider life elsewhere in the 3 Universe. ( Henbest & Couper, 1989, paragraph 7 ) Life on Earth shows immense diversity. From organisms such as sea slugs to the human being. All life on Earth are made up of the same basic units, cells. Each cell is built up from chains of carbon, the most important element to our existance. Within our own solar system only 1 out of 9 planets defines as having life as we know it.

According to some scientists Mars our sister planet may have started to harbor life early in its evolution but some catastrophic event caused Mars to become the barren frozen wasteland it appears to be today. for our solar system alone 2 out of 9 planets that have or may have had life aren’t very bad odds for extraterrestrial life throughout the Universe. Most skeptics of extraterrestrial life or at least of intelligent extraterrestrial life existing are those that believe in Creation rather than evolution.

Creation, in Christianity states that in seven days the Sun, Earth, and all life on Earth were created by a superior spiritual being, or God. This paper was not written to argue whether any of this is true, or debate the existance of God but just states the opposing views of those who believe intelligent life is non-existant elsewhere in the Universe. I believe that the human race would very much like to feel that we are the only intelligent life forms in the Universe. To believe that we are the only intelligent life forms in the universe makes us feel special and gives our life a purpose that no other being can experience.

To have proof of other intelligent life existing would give humans such a cultural shock that some have said that our social, economic and political systems would be thrown off balance. ( Cornet, 1995, paragraph 10) Religious, and social chaos would become rampant. To wrap up the question outlined we must touch on the question of whether E. T’s have been visting Earth. As stated in the previous paragraph, for the human race to come face to face with 4 a more advanced alien race would be so much of a cultural shock that our governmental, economic, and social structures would be broken down.

Solely based on the new knowledge of all persons on Earth that we are not alone and have never really been. Religious teachings and basis of human uniqueness would have to be revised, leaving many many people of the world to breakdown. Imagine that you have just been told, rather have just come to the realization that everything you’ve ever known about life and creation has been a false teaching. That you have no special purpose, that you are one of perhaps thousands or millions of intelligent beings in the Universe. I can imagine that one would collapse based upon this knowledge.

This is the most mportant fact that actually is in favor of the existance of an advanced race visiting Earth. This is what leads many E. T. believers that intelligent life throughout the Universe is abundant and we have been visited by an advanced race of beings. The advanced race of beings would have the knowledge that solid proof of their existance would break us down socio-economically and therefore have managed only to slowly hint their existance rather than appearing to us and saying We do exist. Many people who are believers of E. T. ‘s have had experiences or profound symbols shown to them that lead them to believe that E. T’s are visiting Earth.

These who are believers believe strongly that these E. T. ‘s are here to help mankind. They are here to help man- kind spiritually advance themselves. An example often used to advocate these aliens helping mankind is our sudden boost of technology within the 19th and 20th centuries. Many believe that one day these E. T. ‘s existance will become obvious to us and they will show themselves for all to see. This will not happen anytime soon I would imagine because we are still maturing socially and spiritually, to have such an experience. The E. T’s are preparing us few by few to ventually let their presence become known.

It is not only those who believe in Creation that doubt the existance of E. T’s visiting Earth, 5 scientists are also among some of the most substantial skeptics. Scientists share the same views as Religious figures in one aspect, that no E. T’s are visiting Earth. Science and Religion are finding a common view for once in history. Although scientists are looking at the situation in a different aspect, Scientists believe that an alien race could never reach Earth because of the enormous amount of energy that would be required for traveling across disctances in space.

To set up a scenario The diameter of the entire Milky Way galaxy is about 100,000 light-years. Let’s assume that an intelligent species happens to reside on a planet 5,000 light-years from Earth, and that 1. 5 billion years ago their starships were capable of cruising at 10% of the speed of light. If they traveled only 1 light-year at a time, with each trip taking about ten years, and they rested or consolidated for a little less than 300,000 years before setting out on the next 1 light-year journey they still could have reached Earth by now! The answer to the question is T i m e . . . ble of contents ( ETIGrail FAQ’s, nodate) For your knowledge, a light year is the distance that light travels in a year equal to 9 X 4605 million million kilometres.

In accordance with Albert Einstein’s relativity theories a speed of light traveling starship would require an infinite amount of energy. Even a ship travelling at 99. 99% the speed of light, 186,000 miles per second, would require just as large an amount of energy, almost infinite. Regardless of these scientific restrictions to space travel of enormous distances some evidence suggest the occurrence of out of this world experiences that cannot be explained.

Alien abductions as well as U. F. O sightings are among the most known evidence of human contact with extraterrestrials. Although most abduction stories or UFO stories are proved hoaxes there are some to consider. Among most abduction stories there are signs of the E. T’s removing 6 reproductive cells, the ovum of a female human and the sperm of a male human. Some believe that these surgical procedures are done because of this alien’s race becoming infertile due to a gamma ray burst of a near by star rendering all inhabitants of their home planet sterile. Scientists find this idea very common and is even possible on Earth.

A gamma ray burst has left these E. T’s in a desperate search to save their race. In an attempt to do so they create hybrid species, a mix of human and this alien race known as the Zeta Reticuli most widely known as the grays. Abuctees have many a time reported seeing human figures , much taller than the rest of the gray huge oval black eyed beings. They at first glance thought these people to be humans but upon closer viewing realized they had many similar facial features to the grays, their eyes were sometimes black and huge. This theory is one of the most accepted by those who believe in the existance of E.

T’s on Earth. Dr. Bruce Cornet is one such person claiming to have shared many experiences with one species of intelligent life visiting earth, he believes that there are more than one. His educational and professional experiences are as follows : He earned a B. A. in biology in 1970 and M. S. in paleobotany in 1973 at the University of Connecticut, and his Ph. D. in geology and palynology in 1977 at Penn. State University. His professional status goes on and on as you can see this man isn’t one of the typical abductees. He seems to be a reliable source and a well educated man.

This man has claimed that there are ample physical, geophysical, and photographic data collected by himself during his two and a half years of research into the UFO phenomenon to support the hypothesis that Earth is currently inhabited by more than one sentient intelligent humanoid species. ( Cornet, 1995 paragraph 16) In general he believes that his success in obtaining this data from his field investigations appears to have been deliberately planned by the non-humans as part of a long term agenda to gradually educate mankind without 7 ausing harm or damage to our religious and socio-economic structures.

He believes that they want us to become of their existance without fearing them. In addition to U. F. O sightings by ordinary people some believe that the governments of the world or the United States government already has the knowledge of an advanced race of alien beings. The government to this day denies rumors of a cover up but evidence to the contrary is very persistent. To understand why the government would cover up such stories of Aliens working with them in cooperation with the armed forces and military may seem obvious.

If word got out that an advanced civilization was aiding the United States military, and their existance has only been denied constantly by the government people would most definetely seek to find a unified government, for they would have lost trust in the current governmental institution. Another obvious reason for the governments denial of E. T. is the disasterous effects it may have on the world. Culture shock and loss of cultural identity may be one of the worst effects of exposing the existance of E. T. ‘s. Another theory of the government’s cover up reasons include the Advised Theory.

It may be that our visitors have advised our governments to cover-up the fact of their existence, or that there is an agreement between our governments and them to adopt such a policy. (Hughes, 1998) Knowledge of alien visitors would throw the world into an economic depression for the following reason. If people knew that advanced beings had the technology to grasp free energy which would explain how they have been able to conquer space travel of such large distances, we would make obsolete the use of oil and all other forms of human energy harvesting, the global economy would fail simply because it is based upon the oil industry.

The Roswell Incident Paper

The Roswell Incident, which enlightened our minds to the capacity of excepting all, has remained one of the most controversial issues today. In Roswell, New Mexico, 1947, a strange occurrence arises. An alien craft from outer space crashed in an open field. The issue lay still for almost thirty years, until the thought of a government cover-up arose. Society? s opinions have changed over the years. Previous to the 1990? s, people have despised the thought of sharing the universe with other intelligent life forms. Now people are interested in this mysterious phenomenon.

People think it is the blame f the movies and television. By watching this, people are at a level at which they understand. Not only do these movies entertain, they inform people about the little information we obtained from the government. The thought of government cover-ups have been long discussed. The government has always, in the past, tried to keep any sign of aliens, whether it be pictures from space, to crashes on earth, to a low or nonexistent level. Just recently has the government been harassed to the point where they actually gave us clues to alien existence.

It has in some ways been believed that the government has worked in partnership ith popular movie directors, to produce alien movies to ease the thought that we may not be alone. Such movies as oThe Arrivalo and the ever popular oIndependence Dayo are very good examples of well convincing alien movies. If this is true, they did a good job, because statistics state that 75% of people today believe that there is some kind of intelligent life forms besides ourselves in the universe. That is very convincing compared to the 20% whom believed 25 years ago.

New opinions are always suspected, and usually opposed, without any other reason but because they are not already common. o (MacGowan 261) A local New Mexico rancher, MacBrazel, while riding out in the morning to check his sheep after a long night of thunderstorms, discovered a considerable amount of debris. It created a gouge several hundred feet long and was scattered over a large area. Some of the debris had strange physical properties. He took some debris to show his neighbors then his son. Soon after that he notified the sheriff. The sheriff then contacted the authorities at Roswell Army Air Field Base.

The are was closed off and the debris was eventually flown by B-29 and C-54 aircraft to Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio. A New York Daily News article ays o… either conclusive proof extraterrestrials have indeed visited earth, or one of the most elaborate hoaxes ever perpetuated on the public….. o (Dominquez). Besides the wreckage that was found, there were three objects which were highly debated about. Three bodies, two found dead, the other to die in a couple of weeks. Whether or not the bodies were actually found, is only determined by the few witnesses who claim to have seen the bodies.

A few of these people turned out to be very highly respected military officers. Some people say that the bodies were human which have been exposed to the adiation. This radiation could have been caused, due to nuclear weapons that Roswell Army Air Base had been testing, since they were at the time the only squadron which had authorization to nuclear weapons. This theory was discounted by most, saying that this kind of deformation would have caused a human being to die before such damage could occur. Albert Einstein once said: o…. I am convinced that, there is an absolute truth. If there can? be absolute truth, there cannot be a relative truth. o (MacGowan 289)

The government has been blamed with covering up this whole event. They have been claimed to have shipped off the wreckage to Dayton, Ohio, to avoid publicity. Which is normal, to prevent a worldwide panic. The bodies however, were not as lucky to have not become public, yet. The government has, and will always say that the wreckage found was a secret spy balloon. The people who have seen the wreckage, and believe that’s what it was, describe it as a bundle of tinfoil, broken wood, beams , and rubber remnants of a balloon.

Most discount this because, why would the government be messing around with balloons, if they were exploring the characteristics of jet fighters. Yes, the wreckage id seem like tin foil, at first, until you held the material, which if you bent, twisted, and did anything you dreamed up of, would still return to its original shape. They have tried to burn and shoot through it and had unsuccessfully destroyed it. It is thought that the government has used this to they? re benefit, and discovered its properties to use on future planes, but this has not yet been yet proven, since no planes known are this indestructible.

Glenn Davis, a respected business man in Roswell, was called by a friend, General Exon, asked how to seal and preserve bodies that have been exposed to the alien materials. Davis did not know the answer to this question, since he did not know much of the incident. Later that night he made a trip to the base hospital, outside the back entrance he spotted two military vans with the rear doors open, from which large pieces of wreckage protruded. Once inside he encountered a young nurse whom which he knew, at the same instance, he was noticed by military police which escorted him from the building.

The next day he met up with the nurse at a coffee shop. She explained that she had been called upon to help two doctors disect to small bodies, which she thought to be alien. She drew diagram on a napkin showing an outline of thier features. That meeting was to be thier last; as she was transferred to England a few days later. Today the nurse would be sixty-nine years old. Investigators are trying to locate her. Five nurses are pictured in the 1947 Roswell Air Field yearbook. The files of all five are strangely missing from military records.

A couple of years ago a report on Fox television network broadcasted a show called oAlien Autopsyo. This show was mainly about what happened to the bodies which were recovered from the Roswell crash site. Bodies were showed being dissected on video tape. The whole process of the dissection is like this: One of the two people first examined the body. He then with a surgical knife, cut open the neck down to the belly, and took out the organs. As for the head, he found that the eyes of this body were covered with two black membranes, which were easily removed with tweezers. Lastly, he cut open the scull and took out the brain.

The other person seemed to be responsible for recording the whole process. People at first thought this whole movie was a joke until they opened the bodies up. Steven Speilberg even stated : o There is no way these bodies could be fake , due to the high omplexity of the inner organs, not only would it have been impossible then, it also practically impossible to replicate them now, and if it were possible it would cost us millions of dollars to replicate, or even try to replicate them. o Kodak film company has done their own testing on the actual film on which the footage had been filmed.

They had verified that the film was made in the 1940? s. In the film, when it zoomed up on the bodies, blurred. This was thought to purposely done to hide detail, but in fact cameras in the 1940? s had no focus on objects that were to close to it. There were even people who are claimed to be eyewitnesses f the crash of the UFO in Roswell, and strongly believed that the body appeared in this film, was one of the three found in this incident. Even though there is a lot of information which points to the program being real, there is a lot which point to its falsehood.

The government wanted to keep this at a very low-key. They still insisted that the crash in Roswell was still a military balloon. However, a congressman wanted the government to open all the document related to the Roswell Incident, the reply was that all of documents were destroyed! What did the government want to cover? If they wanted to cover the fact hat aliens came to earth, why did they let the show air to the public? Of course, if the film is false, it doesn’t matter. There also some differences in the body in the broadcast, and the descriptions from the witnesses.

The most obvious is of which the fingers in the movie have six fingers and toes, while the witnesses from Roswell said they had only four. It is said that the UFO had exploded in the air, if that were the case, then the bodies would have been severely burned. In o Alien Autopsyo, the only injury on the body, was the cut on the right leg. The dissection room in which it was taken was much too simple. The people in the movie are wearing normal dissection clothes, if it were a true alien, then why not try to prevent yourselves from catching some out of this world disease.

Lastly , people say that the bodies are to similar to human bodies, and that the bodies just might be abnormal humans. Like many people do, we think aliens may look similar to us. By chance there may be aliens that resemble us, or we may resemble them. For obvious reasons, it is necessary that the military services and the intelligence agencies impose a certain amount of secrecy. In recent decades, however, many observers say: othat he use of government secrecy has become excessive. Secrecy tantamount to power and, like power, lends itself to abuse.

Behind the shield of secrecy, it is possible for an agency or service to avoid scrutiny and essentially operate outside the law. Accountability to the taxpayers, and to the Congress, can be conveniently avoided. o Perhaps this is a major reason the U. S. annual oblack budgeto has climbed to a staggering $25 billion a year. o Secrecy, like power, is not readily relinquished. As we all know we will never know the true story of which happened in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, but it is up to us to decide for ourselves.

Flying Objects – UFOs

F. I. R. S. T, Internet)

After a year and a half of analysis Dr.

UFOs and Aliens on Earth

If you had mentioned seeing a Unidentified Flying Object (UFO), or spaceship from another planet 100 years ago, you would probably be thought of as a raving lunatic. If you had mentioned one 50 years ago, the case would be thought about, but with much suspicion. Today, many people would believe you, and, if you had evidence to prove it, the government would take a very close interest in your case, yet many people would call you an idiot. Despite all the evidence that indicates UFO’s exist, there are still many people who will not listen to any evidence, and the government covers up evidence and alters news releases on he subject.

The Roswell case is one of the best documented, and most controversial UFO cases ever. In July of 1949, at a small airforce base in Roswell, New Mexico, a small, brightly glowing object was observed to crash land at about 11:30 P. M. There were many people who had seen the crash, and they had described that it was “brighter, and fell much slower than any meteors” they had ever seen. At St. Mary’s Hospital in Roswell, two Catholic nuns, saw the crash, directly north of them, and logged the crash to have occurred on July 4, between 10:00 and 11:30 PM.

Southwest of the base, Corporal E. L. Pyles looked to see what at first he thought was a shooting star, only it seemed to be to large to be one. He testifies that the crash happened about 11:00 PM also. There were many Military officers in the area who had seen the object as well. The object was appearing on military radars for many days before the crash. Before the crash, on July 1, all of the officers and technicians at the base had been tracking an unidentified object on their radars.

Starting on July 2nd, Steve MacKenzie, who was stationed at Roswell, was ordered to report to the White Sands Proving Ground radar sites and report directly to the rigadier general at the base. The Brigadier General’s orders were to inform him of all the movements the object made. At White Sands, there had been doubt as to whether this object was a malfunction of radar equipment, or, if it was in fact, real. So , the airforce had other radar sites in Albuquerque and Roswell look at the area on their radars. It was shown that they had, in fact, a real object. During the evening of July 4, the object changed.

It was growing bigger, then shrinking back to it’s original size, the blip was pulsating, then the blip grew quite large, and disappeared from the screen. Because sites in Albuquerque, White Sands and Roswell were tracking the object, the airforce had a vague location about where it crashed. The airforce then decided to launch a comprehensive search the following morning. The airforce, however, was the last to arrive at the site. A group of archaeologists being led by Dr. W. Curry Holden, had arrived earlier. One of the students recorded the object as “a crashed wingless plane, with a flat fuselage.

The archaeologists then left to inform local authorities of an aircraft accident. When the airforce arrived at the Roswell crash site, here were two other people exploring, a man named Ragsdale and a woman named Truelove. They had been collecting pieces of metal from the site, tossing it into their jeep . But, what they saw after that was much more significant. There were bodies, lying about. There were several of them, about four or five feet long. There were five in total, obviously not human. There were three dead bodies, one in critical condition, and one, apparently fine.

They threw the debris clear of their jeep when the airforce started driving up, and got out of there as fast as they could because of fear of being arrested. When the airforce arrived, they looked around, and they saw the large craft in the side of the mountain, partly buried, leaning at about a 30 degree angle, with large pieces of debris scattered about. After the airforce had searched and photographed the area, they began cleaning up. The bodies were loaded into ambulances after being put into body bags. The living creature was taken into an ambulance also.

The area was cleaned over the next few days. And when I say “cleaned”, I mean raking the area to get all the pieces of debris and using industrial vacuum cleaners to take care of the rest. ” A little later, the irforce located a field that the UFO had apparently flown over as it crashed. The field had strange debris scattered all over. A man called Brazel owned the property, and, the airforce then allegedly kidnapped him for three days. They also rounded up the archaeologists, and later, tracked down Ragsdale and Truelove, who drove off as the airforce arrived, Ragsdale and Truelove and swore them to secrecy.

After they took care of all the other details, they changed the story from “Flying Saucer Recovered In Roswell! ” which was submitted by an airforce officer, not a civilian, after the crash to, “Weather Balloon Crash In Roswell! This story doesn’t hold up well though. After all the reports were turned in, and all the witnesses had been interviewed, it didn’t look like the airforce could support baloon story. So, they have been changing their stories around, from a weather balloon, to a crashed V2 rocket, to an experimental aircraft.

As recent as June of 1995, the airforce officially announced that it was in fact a balloon lofted to view Russian weapon test sites. But, that wouldn’t explain the bizarre debris, a foil that would re-shape itself after being bent, and the pieces of metal that would not melt under any temperature. Nor would it explain the Aliens themselves. So, none of these explanations could hold water. The only possibilities are that it was a early US spacecraft, or, a UFO. And the UFO , for the first time ever, is the only explanation that makes sense. The aliens of the Roswell case are the classic Grey’s. They are short, 3. feet tall, slit mouth, and large oval eyes. They are grey in color and have a very hostile disposition towards humans.

There is no known record of what happened to the living alien. The last he was seen, was walking under his own power into the military hospital (Not the St. Mary’s hospital). In the hospital here are reports of some Medics from Washington preforming an autopsy. The alien that was autopsied gave off a tremendous stench, that caused the doctors to vacate the room. The bodies were then loaded onto planes, and no one knows where they went, because of the great scheme the airforce had to hide the bodies destination.

The debris from the crash site, and the debris in the field, was also loaded up and taken to different places around the country. There are three main types of aliens that are said to visit Earth. There are many other species that have been reported, but these incidents are to sporadic and nsupported to believe. The first type of alien are called the Greys, short, militaristic aliens with no apparent emotion. They can take a humans life with no apparent regard for that individual. They are between 3. 5 – 4. 5 feet tall, and are totally grey with a slit mouth and oval eyes.

They focus mainly on the study of other lifeforms, and genetic engineering. Finally, they are a completely cloned race, which is dying because their DNA is harmed after each cloning. They may be creating a mix-breed of humans and themselves in order to create a better race than both. (David House, 1) The second type are called The Reptilians. They are said to be the masters of the Greys. The Reptilians are said to be travelling to Earth on an asteroid where 30 million of them survive. Though that is unbelievable, if this was true, these aliens would arrive sometime in the next couple years.

They resemble large, erect alligators. They should also be considered hostile, because their technology is so advanced when compared to ours, and they seem to consider us a lower forms of life. (David House, 2) Finally, there are aliens which resemble a mixbreed of humans and Greys. They are the least likely of alien species to exist, which is unfortunate, because they are the riendliest. They are the mix-breed of Humans and Greys that the Greys are creating. Why they have their own civilization would be a mystery if being a clone is true. The creatures have our advanced senses, while they have the Greys advanced brain.

Many people have different beliefs about UFOs and the aliens within them. Some people say, “Hey, if there ARE other advanced civilizations out there, WHERE are they? ” There are many different beliefs people have today. Some people flatly disbelieve that there are planets orbiting the stars that are in the Milky Way. This is false, as there as been a recent discovery of at least three planets orbiting a nearby star. Also, the Hubble telescope has seen, what is thought to be the birth of a starsystem. The star is surrounded by a large disk of black subezce, which proves the theory of how solar systems are formed.

But, some people think there is only one civilization in a galaxy. The civilization in their galaxy can not leave their own galaxy, as that would be intruding on another civilizations “Holy Land”. There is only the smallest chance of that, as there are more than THREE TRILLION stars in the Milky Way galaxy. More believable would be that here are other civilizations out in space, only they are flying around, ignoring us, as they have no use for a civilization that is as far ahead of us as we are compared to ants. No civilization that advanced, would most likely not be interested in humans and their little lives.

Again, another explanation would be they used some kind of drug and hibernation method that would keep that person alive, happy, and able to go wherever that individual wanted to. There could actually be millions of these happy little sleepers hiding on a few planets out there. Why was there such a flurry of UFO sightings just fter the nuclear weapon was exploded in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Perhaps they just began to fear what we were doing to ourselves. The UFOs began to hover over weapon test sites. The Roswell craft flew over the test site in Nevada for several days, where the first nuclear weapon was detonated.

The aliens have allegedly abducted many people since then, performing bizarre tests on them. If it is true that they are depending on us for genetic cross-breeding to save their species, then it would be underezdable that they show so much interest. If these aliens are so interested in genetics of our pecies, why didn’t they come here before the 1940’s? Well, that’s not true. There have been reports of aliens here before the 1940’s. Actually, a long time before. At about the 11th century, a diary of a young woman was found that described a red, elongated object that brutally attacked their small town, killing dozens and kidnapping many more.

The entire town was burned afterwards, and very few survived. It is very unlikely that someone would make up a story like this, especially in the 11th century. So we must spectulate about that event. It could have been anything from an alien slavery ship, to a meteorite, to a crashing UFO. But, it would most likely be the slavery ship because it “Killed and kidnapped” people from the village. A meteorite has never killed a person in all of history, not even the comet that leveled 55 square miles of forest in Russia. As for a crashing spacecraft, this woman described a “fire beam” and “terrible devils killing and taking people”.

I have been convinced that there was some kind of alien ship looking for slaves, or perhaps they were starving and we were the only abundant source of food they could utilize. The Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) program is an operation set up by the government, which not nly sends “Easy to interpret information about us humans, like the location of our home world, population of the Earth, and little useful things like that for anyone listening could hear” but also listens with some of the largest satellite dishes in the world.

So far, they have discovered no evidence of an advanced civilization. Not that they are telling about anyway. SETI has taught us many things about strange types of stars, and possibly even black holes by listening to the radio waves. It is also said that SETI is merely a fake little operation set up by the government to try to convince people they are looking, but here’s nothing out there. There are many, many people who claim to have seen UFOs and the aliens within these craft.

While most of these are proven hoaxes, and many more unsubeztiated, there are enough sightings that are investigated, and remain mysteries. To say that there aren’t UFOs is impossible to prove, short of parading onto Larry King Live with a “One eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater”. The government has repeatedly denied the existence of UFOs for years, but, all the investigations that they have staged seem to indicate that the US military, at least, takes UFOs very seriously.

My Encounter With A UFO

An obstacle that I have overcame in the past was my encounter with a UFO which happened in January of 1997, during a night when I was out in the desert. At first I was only able to remember a blazing red object coming toward me, but not what happened afterwards. A year after my encounter, I started seeing weird images and having visions of the future.

I saw a scenario of recognition, of civilizations existing on other planets, of civilizations existing with fantastic technological achievements, of civilizations existing with tremendous scientific knowledge, of civilizations existing with people of various natures who have knowledge f all kinds, medical, artistic, cultural, etc. Another scenario I saw was of Biological Interference, of cross breeding with alien races, of giving of embryos or sperm for breeding experiments, of implantations of sperm or fertile eggs, of taking cells for examination, experimentation with cloning.

Another scenario I saw was the Scenario of Induction, of an unseen secret organization of good will, of inspirational aids to solve problems and difficulties, of secrets of the past to be found, of monuments of good will recorded in lost places, of destruction of powerful evils to human/ earth Also I saw scenarios of Self-Development and Self-awareness, of offering new personal insights, of strengthening beliefs, of offering new projects, of support of a person’s intentions/ambitions.

There are many other scenarios and parts that came to me, and those can each or all merge one into another. In one message, the aliens told me that the purpose of these images are to rejuvenate the earth, and to aid in the evolutionary development of man. This event in my life has definitely been the greatest obstacle that I have ever faced. Except for the time when I traveled to the center of the earth.

The Roswell Sheriff

On the night of July 4, 1947 a thunderstorm filled the sky with loud blasts of thunder and a distinct sound accompanied by a bright flash of light. Giving little thought to the strange occurrence, Mac Brazel went back to sleep and decided to inspect the damage in the morning. In the morning the farmer and his son were surprised to discover an area where pieces of metal were spread throughout the field. Mr. Brazel knew that the pieces appeared to be very strange, so he loaded his truck with some of the debris and took them to the closest city, Roswell which is some 75 miles from his farm.

The Roswell Sheriff looked at the debris and decided to call the Roswell Army Air Field. He thought that the pieces could be the wreckage of a top-secret project and that the army would be the best authority for the situation. The army checked and found that in fact no secret projects had been performed in this location. Jesse Marcel and Captain Sheridan Cavitt decided to drive to the farm outside of Corona, New Mexico and look at the crash site for themselves. Upon seeing the crash site, they mutually decided that the wreckage was not from this world and that they must alert the Pentagon.

The Pentagon already knew by this time what was happening in Roswell and General Clemence McMullen told Roswell Army Air Field that they must cover up the whole story. Thus a conspiracy between the government of the United States and the citizens was born (Acevedo 1-5). Extraterrestrials exist and have visited our planet. The United States government as well as many other worldwide governments have proof of UFO existence but are afraid to release this information to the general public. It is up to the general public to examine the evidence and decide whether UFO’s exist.

If the government is going to continue a policy of denial then the citizens must begin a policy of belief. Whether policy makers are afraid of UFO’s effect on national security or the potential mass hysteria that could follow such a release of information, the people must not sit back and let evidence of extraterrestrial contact slip through the cracks. A UFO crashed into the side of a mountain on the night of July 4, 1947. The alien craft had malfunctions that may have been caused due to the thunderstorm.

As the craft touched the ground on Mac Brazel’s farm, it again became airborne and was able to remain in the air until crashing to its final resting-place. This is where the craft was recovered shortly after the news was released that the 509th Bombardment group at Roswell Army Air Field had come into the possession of a flying saucer (RAAF 1A). The day after this newspaper was released many foreign countries began to call Roswell, New Mexico about the article so a new article was released.

This article said that the mysterious objects found on the ranch were really nothing more than debris from a high-altitude weather balloon, not a grounded flying disk (General Ramey 1A). The nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman said, “Unfortunately, the media bought the Air Force cover-up hook, line, and sinker (Stacy 34). ” The first decorated man to inspect the initial crash site Jesse Marcel said “I still don’t know what the material was, except it was nothing like I had ever seen before and it certainly wasn’t from any weather balloon (Stacy 34).

Dr. Marcel agreed that this object looked like the objects that he had seen after the crash (Broussard 1). Roswell is the most known UFO contact site and date known around the world although many UFO’s have been reported throughout the 20th century. In 1948, Thomas Mantell, a pilot for the National Guard was ordered to pursue a UFO. He chased it in his F51 mustang, but he went to high and ran out of oxygen. He went unconscious and the plane crashed, killing him instantly. This was the first documented death due to a UFO (Reaban 2).

In 1952 a wave a UFO’s flew over Washington D. C. and appeared visually on the radar. The government denied this and claimed the radar was malfunctioning because of a temperature inversion (Reaban 2).

Gerald Anderson said “they didn’t have a little finger” and “his eyes was open, staring blankly. ” The aliens had “no visible ears…just a rise there and then a hole, they were all wearing one piece suits…a shiny silverish gray color (McAndrew 70). ” Although it is probable that extraterrestrial bodies have come to earth and been recovered by authorities, this is one of the only instances where so many witnesses have come forward and claimed to have seen the beings. The government explains the extraterrestrials by saying that they were really only parachute test dummies.

The Pentagon says that witnesses were mistaken about the crash and that the dummies were actually from a project “Mogul” which was launched to monitor the atmosphere for evidence of Soviet Nuclear tests. Air Force Col. John Hayes said “I have no other explanation for how recollections of ‘bodies’ could be associated with the debris at Roswell a decade earlier (Burns 1A). ” Hayes points out the biggest flaw in the Air Forces’ explanation for the alien beings, the Roswell incident occurred in July of 1947 and “Mogul” did not occur until 1954 (McAndrew 23).

How could witnesses be mistaken about an incident as miraculous as the viewing of extraterrestrial bodies? UFO researcher Karl Pflock said “I think this is a real stretch,” ordinary people could not mix up dates the way the government has implied (Burns 2). The dummies that were used in these high altitude tests had a skeleton of aluminum or steel, latex or plastic skin, and an instrument cavity in the torso and head (Burns 2). This description of the dummies is far from the description of the alien bodies given by witnesses.

Information about UFO’s has been continually documented since before the Roswell incident and is still in existence some 50 years later. From the late 1940’s until December of 1969 the government collected UFO files for public affairs that was called Project Blue Book. Project Blue Book had little effect on the UFO community who believes that the project was most likely used to give the false evidence to the public and keep the real evidence in classified vaults (Stacy 37). In 1966 the government enacted the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which when amended in 1974 allowed individuals to view their own files.

UFOlogists began to request certain UFO documents by filing lawsuits, but found that their cases would not stand up against the supreme power of the land (Stacy 38). When documents were finally turned over to these UFOlogists, they were very confusing and many were even marked through with black marker so that they could not be read. The National Security Agency is probably the most ultrasecret of all security branches of the government. UFOlogist attorneys filed for the release of all UFO documents from the NSA but were told that no such documents existed.

Then the NSA admitted that some 160 of these documents did exist but could not be released on the grounds of national security (Stacy 39). If so many people believe in UFO’s then why not make the governments information available to the public for viewing if they desire to do so? By classifying information the government is merely submitting itself to the 5th amendment. We cannot accurately blame the government for its denial but we know that it is present. Even Nostradamus has prophesied on the existence of UFO’s, “When the aliens’ spaceship enters the atmosphere the fields will cause it to malfunction and many of the crew are killed.

When they crash, soldiers will be on hand to capture or kill them (Oxford 1). ” Nostradamus draws an eerie parallel to the Roswell incident and also to other less unknown UFO contacts that have happened worldwide. The US federal government owns miles of land throughout the Nevada and Arizona where it conducts top-secret activities that is believed to deal with alien technology. “Area 51 is the last big secret military bases in the US (‘Area 51’ 20A). ” In 1997 the Air Force finally admitted that the ultrasecret Area 51 actually existed.

The Air Force has admitted that the base was used to test Cold War-era aircrafts but authorities such as Colonel John Hanes are still reluctant to speak about the base. “If you are talking about Groom Lake, Nevada…Quite frankly, I have no knowledge or expertise in the matter, I understand there are classified things that go on there. That is all I have to say about it (‘Area 51’ 20A). ” Whatever goes on in Area 51 may be a mystery but what is certain is that 1,850 federal civilian workers are employed in ultra-high-security facilities in and near the range.

There is uncertainty about what these people are employed to do but they are among the highest paid federal employees, making nearly $59,000 per year. In 1993 the federal government initiated procedures to seize another 3,900 acres adjoining Groom Lake to seal off two public viewing sites (Stacy 40). It is common knowledge that the Cold War has ended and that our government possesses nuclear arms, why is the government so secretive if it is only performing routine tests?

The people are aware that tests have occurred and continue to occur in the midwest, it is time for the government to admit its activity and that it includes alien research. It is obvious that with so much research pointing to the existence of extraterrestrials, a growing number of people are beginning to look for the truth. Although some sightings are hoaxes, these are merely the people’s way of trying to show the government that people are beginning to wonder if life exists outside of earth.

According to a Newsweek poll, 48% of Americans believe UFO’s are real, 29% believe we have made contact with aliens, and 48% believe there is a government plot to cover the whole thing up (Stover 89). “Will the ongoing cover-up of the government’s knowledge about extraterrestrial UFO’s and their terrestrial activities, known as ‘Cosmic Watergate’” ever end or will it continue until true documented contact is made (Stacy 36). Instead of taking the governments side of fearing and denying new ideas, we must realize that amid the vast universe there is other life and it has visited earth.

Is there life beyond Earth: Discovering aliens and UFOs

For a while now there have been many UFO sightings around the world and many people have become amazed and astonished by this. Many scientists who study extraterrestrial life have come up with a lot of information that points toward the fact that aliens and UFOs are real. In China poor farmers in Beijing’s barren hills saw an object covered in colored lights arcing heavenward that some say must have been a UFO. In addition to the farmers 12 other Chinese cities reported possible UFO sightings last month, at the beginning of the millenium .

China is astir with sightings of otherworldly visitors. Some of these sightings are real, some are fake, and with others it’s unclear, said Shen Shituan; a real rocketscientist, president of Beijing Aerospace University and honorary director of the China UFO Research Association. All these phenomena are worth researching. On July 13,1997 Special Air Service soldiers waiting to ambush IRA gunmen were stunned when aliens walked in front of the gun sights. The undercover troops, hiding near an arms cache on a hillside in South Armagh, say they saw up to four, small, gray figures.

The aliens and soldiers stared at each other for a minute. Then the spacemen disappeared , and seconds later the SAS troops saw a flash in the sky. Belfast-based expert Hugh O’ Brian said, we have learned that on that morning the soldiers were convinced they saw three, perhaps four, small, gray figures, in human form. The expert also said about the soldiers: The alien forms made no move towards them, but judging from what the troops told their regimental priest and commanding officer, the aliens knew the soldiers were there.

It was like a stand off, within a few minutes probably a lot less time than that , the aliens disappeared. All the men can recall is that in a very quick space of time, they saw a brief flash in the sky. On June 24, 1947, buisnessman Kenneth Arnold was flying his private plane near Washington state’s Cascade Mountains when he spotted nine, crecent-shaped flying objects. He reported they moved like saucers skipping across water. For a time, UFO reports seemed to spur a wave of sightings around the world from 1947 to 1969, the air force investigated thousands of reports.

It concealed hundreds of incidents that couldn’t be explained, while concluding there was no threat to national security. But belief in UFOs dies hard. Stories of crop circles, alien abductions, and a supposed flying saucer crash near Roswell, New Mexico, draw passionate believers and skeptics. The idea still remains that there is life beyond that of earth and my facts have acknowledged the fact that there have been many sightings around the world since 1947 when the first UFO was sighted.

There has been a sighting that highly trained military soldiers claimed while on a stakeout. Chinese farmers in Beijing sighted a UFO. There must really be other forms of life beyond earth because, why would a group of scientists spend thousands of dollars on research material to study alien life if they didn’t have any hard evidence that aliens do in fact exist? The evidence I collected helps to make my point clear, that aliens and UFOs are real.

Despite all the evidence that indicates UFO’s exist, there are still many people who will not listen to any evidence, and the government covers up evidence and alters news releases on The Roswell case is one of the best documented, and most controversial UFO cases ever.

A little later, the airforce located a field that the UFO had apparently flown over as it crashed.

” which was submitted by an airforce officer, not a civilian, after he crash to, “WEATHER BALLOON CRASH IN ROSWELL! ” This story doesn’t hold up well though.

But, that wouldn’t explain the bizarre debris, a foil that would re-shape itself after being bent, and the pieces of metal that would not elt under any temperature.

The last he was seen, was walking under his own power into the military ospital (Not the St. Mary’s hospital). In the hospital there are reports of some Medics from Washington preforming an autopsy.

There are many other species that have been reported, but these incidents are to sporadic and unsupported to believe.

They may be creating a mix-breed of humans and hemselves in order to create a better race than both. The second type are called The Reptilians.

(David House, 2) Finally, there are aliens which resemble a mixbreed f humans and Greys. They are the least likely of alien species to exist, which is unfortunate, because they are the friendliest. They are the mix-breed of Humans and Greys that the Greys are creating. Why they have their own civilization would be a mystery if being a clone is true. The creatures have our advanced senses, while they have the Greys advanced brain. David House, 3)

This is false, as there has been a recent discovery of at least three planets orbiting a nearby star. Also, the Hubble telescope has seen, what is thought to be the birth of a starsystem. The star is surrounded by a large disk of black substance, which proves the theory of how solar systems are formed.

More believable would be that there are other civilizations out in space, only they are flying around, ignoring us, as they have no use for a civilization that is as far ahead of us as we are compared to ants.

Why was there such a flurry of UFO sightings just after the nuclear weapon was exploded in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Perhaps they just began to fear what we were doing to ourselves. The UFOs began to hover over weapon test sites. The Roswell craft flew over the test site in Nevada for several days, where the first nuclear weapon was detonated.

The aliens have allegedly abducted many people since then, performing bizarre tests on them. If it is true that they are depending on us for genetic cross-breeding to ave their species, then it would be understandable that If these aliens are so interested in genetics of our species, why didn’t they come here before the 1940’s?

I have been convinced that there was some kind of alien ship looking for slaves, or perhaps they were tarving and we were the only abundant source of food they The Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) program is an operation set up by the government, which not only sends “Easy to interpret information about us humans, like the location of our home world, population of the Earth, and little useful things like that for anyone listening could hear” but also listens with some of the largest satellite dishes in the world.

So far, they have discovered no evidence of an advanced civilization. Not that they are telling about anyway. SETI has taught us many things about strange types of stars, and possibly even black oles by listening to the radio waves. It is also said that SETI is merely a fake little operation set up by the government to try to convince people they are looking, but there’s nothing out there.

There are many, many people who claim to have seen UFOs and the aliens within these craft. While most of these are proven hoaxes, and many more unsubstantiated, there are enough sightings that are investigated, and remain mysteries. To say that there UFOs is impossible to prove, short of parading onto Larry King Live with a “One eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater”.

The Journal of Scientific Exploration

It even seems probable, though Bernard does not know this to be the case, that there are more people who \”believe in\” UFO’s than have heard about the Hubble.

Given the proper environment this could presumably be turned into a favorable upward non-linearity: Given \”evidence of evidence,\” credibly seriously presented, the interest of scientists can be irritated, which would presumably lead to the \”discovery\” by scientists that there is evidence (William Dudley).

The textbooks contain the Einstein’s and Planck’s and other geniuses who prevailed, not the army of \”ordinary physicist\” whose careers and worldviews looked to be shattered by what must have seemed irrational to them.

This proves that no matter how \”top secret\” something is, eventually the public will find out about it.

Only in the unlikely circumstance that the most paranoid vision of government conspiracy with non-earthly intelligence’s should prove to be true would the existence of classified programs interfere a successful, open, funded research program, or by turning it into a fake to further cover \”the top secret truth. \” In any case, nothing would be gained by letting suspicions of this kind stop the attempt to verify an open research program.

Indeed, such efforts would perhaps point to valuable indicators of conflict, if there were. It seems from Bernard’s unique advantage point as both scientist and editor of JSE that substantial evidence exists of \”something going on. \” But in the real world of competition and politics and entrenched positions that by itself will not move the UFO disputes off square one.

The outcome would not be \”the answer\” but simply and sufficiently the input for the next logical follow-on.

The Roswell Incident

The Roswell Incident, which enlightened our minds to the capacity of excepting all, has remained one of the most controversial issues today. In Roswell, New Mexico, 1947, a strange occurrence arises. An alien craft from outer space crashed in an open field. The issue lay still for almost thirty years, until the thought of a government cover-up arose. Societys opinions have changed over the years. Previous to the 1990s, people have despised the thought of sharing the universe with other intelligent life forms. Now people are interested in this mysterious phenomenon.

People think it is the blame of the movies and television.

It has in some ways been believed that the government has worked in partnership with popular movie directors, to produce alien movies to ease the thought that we may not be alone. Such movies as The Arrival and the ever popular Independence Day are very good examples of well convincing alien movies.

(MacGowan 261) A local New Mexico rancher, MacBrazel, while riding out in the morning to check his sheep after a long night of thunderstorms, discovered a considerable amount of debris.

A New York Daily News article says … either conclusive proof extraterrestrials have indeed visited earth, or one of the most elaborate hoaxes ever perpetuated on the public….. (Dominquez).

Some people say that the bodies were human which have been exposed to the radiation. This radiation could have been caused, due to nuclear weapons that Roswell Army Air Base had been testing, since they were at the time the only squadron which had authorization to nuclear weapons. This theory was discounted by most, saying that this kind of deformation would have caused a human being to die before such damage could occur. Albert Einstein once said: …. I am convinced that, there is an absolute truth.

If there cant be absolute truth, there cannot be a relative truth. (MacGowan 289) The government has been blamed with covering up this whole event.

Yes, the wreckage did seem like tin foil, at first, until you held the material, which if you bent, twisted, and did anything you dreamed up of, would still return to its original shape. They have tried to burn and shoot through it and had unsuccessfully destroyed it. It is thought that the government has used this to theyre benefit, and discovered its properties to use on future planes, but this has not yet been yet proven, since no planes known are this indestructible.

She drew a diagram on a napkin showing an outline of thier features. That meeting was to be thier last; as she was transferred to England a few days later. Today the nurse would be sixty-nine years old. Investigators are trying to locate her. Five nurses are pictured in the 1947 Roswell Air Field yearbook. The files of all five are strangely missing from military records.

A couple of years ago a report on Fox television network broadcasted a show called Alien Autopsy.

Steven Speilberg even stated : There is no way these bodies could be fake , due to the high complexity of the inner organs, not only would it have been impossible then, it also practically impossible to replicate them now, and if it were possible it would cost us millions of dollars to replicate, or even try to replicate them. Kodak film company has done their own testing on the actual film on which the footage had been filmed.

They had verified that the film was made in the 1940s. In the film, when it zoomed up on the bodies, blurred. This was thought to purposely done to hide detail, but in fact cameras in the 1940s had no focus on objects that were to close to it. There were even people who are claimed to be eyewitnesses of the crash of the UFO in Roswell, and strongly believed that the body appeared in this film, was one of the three found in this incident.

If they wanted to cover the fact that aliens came to earth, why did they let the show air to the public? Of course, if the film is false, it doesn’t matter. There also some differences in the body in the broadcast, and the descriptions from the witnesses.

The most obvious is of which the fingers in the movie have six fingers and toes, while the witnesses from Roswell said they had only four. It is said that the UFO had exploded in the air, if that were the case, then the bodies would have been severely burned. In Alien Autopsy, the only injury on the body, was the cut on the right leg.

In recent decades, however, many observers say: that the use of government secrecy has become excessive. Secrecy tantamount to power and, like power, lends itself to abuse.

Behind the shield of secrecy, it is possible for an agency or service to avoid scrutiny and essentially operate outside the law. Accountability to the taxpayers, and to the Congress, can be conveniently avoided. Perhaps this is a major reason the U. S. annual black budget has climbed to a staggering $25 billion a year. Secrecy, like power, is not readily relinquished. As we all know we will never know the true story of which happened in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, but it is up to us to decide for ourselves.

Has intelligent extra-terrestrial life visited the Earth

Have people actually seen spacecraft from another world? Have these spacecraft abducted human beings and performed experiments on them? Have these spacecraft been recovered by our goverment? Many believe this to be very true. Contrary to these beliefs, there is no physical or any evidence to prove these aliens have visited the Earth. But that does not rule out the existence of intelligent life elsewere in the Universe. There could always be life out there. But way to far away to have visited the Earth.

The major reason people believe in aliens is a good reason to believe. This major reason is the sighting of a UFO. UFOs have revolutionized the way people think about aliens. The term UFO means: Unidentified Flying Object. Today the term UFO usually is reffered to an alien spacecraft. These alien spacecraft come in many shapes and sizes. The most common UFO has a disk or saucer shape. They move at very high speeds and appear to spin on an axis. UFO sightings vary from person to person. there have been so many reports of UFO sightings they cant be counted.

But are these sightings really alien spacecraft? The earliest sighting of a UFO is dated back to 213 B. C. Theses sighting were thought to be alien craft. Studies show that these sightings could have been a comet of a meteor. Around 742-814 A. D. \”During the reign of Charlemagne, spacecraft took away some of the earth’s inhabitants to show them something of the way of life of space people. These events are described in the Comte de Gabalis’ Discourses. Trench 1966. The University of Colorado conducted a UFO report.

This elaborate report was lead by Edward U. Condon. Condon states, The decision to etablish this report for the Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects stems from recommendations in a report dated March 1966 of an Ad Hoc Commitee of the Air Force Scientific advisory board set up under the chairmanship of Dr. Brian OBrien to review the work of Project Blue Book. In this report Condon gives examples of some UFO reports. In 1952, so many UFO reports came in it clogged some Military communication channels.

It was believed that an enemy planning a sneak attack could report a bunch of UFO reports to cause mass confusion to the Military communcations. Since 1953 many results of UFO study have been unclassified except when reasons needed to withold evidence because of classified missles or classified radar. This disproves many UFO sighings to be alien spacecraft. Usually a UFO sighting is reported to a police officer or a news reporter. Condon states: In spite of the very considerable publicity that has been given to this subject, a large part of the public still does not know of the official Air Force interest.

Some UFO enthuisiasts has persuaded observers, who would otherwise have done so, not report to the Air Force. In the report Condon says that many people also believe that the government has recovered UFOs and their occupants. Some have gone fas as to assert that the government has captured UFOs and their occupants in captivity in the Pentagon or some secret military base. Condon also states that on person believes the Air Force has nothing to do with UFOs, but the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) handles UFO phenomena.

Condon also quotes: These allegations of a conspiracy on the part of our own government ot conceal knowledge of the existance of flying saucers have, so far as any evidence that has cometo our attention no factual basis whatever. There is no proof of this conspiracy or any proof of a UFO. There is no direct physical evidence of a UFO being an alien spacecraft. The director of National UFO Reporting Center states: Until you have on of these objects on a laboratory table and are talking to its occupants you cant say definitely what it (UFO) is.

A reason for many sightings are secret government test aircraft. During the 1980s the Air Force was developing a new aircraft. This aircraft called the F-117 Stealth Fighter fit the description for many sighting in the New Mexico desert. Many people were seeing a triangular UFO flying around in the sky. This flying triangle happened to be the F-117 fighter plane while it was still classified. This disproved many UFO sightings. While UFO sightings have the most effect on Alien believers, Alien Abduction has even some experts highly confused.

Alien Abduction is when one believes that aliens have abducted them and taken them aboard their spacecraft. While on the alien spacecraft, The aliens, reffered to as Greys, conducted experiments on them. A huge believer of this phenomena is John Mack, a Psychiatrist at Harvard University. Mack was raised up to believe that … if we were going to discover ogher intelligence, wed do through radio waves or though signals or something of that kind. He now beliSo simple the answet would be. eves alien have visited the Earth and have indeed abducted people.

Mack has worked with over a hundred abduction cases. In these cases the consistency of the story, the intensity of these stories, and the sincerity with which the people tell their stories has impressed Mack. When asked in an interview with Nova about how literally do you intend people to take this, Mack responds: So the simple answer would be: Yes, its both literally, physically happening to a degree; and its also some kind of psychological, spiritual experience occurring and originating perhaps in another dimension.

A huge skeptic of the abduction phenomena is Carl Sagan, an author and astronomer. When asked to comment on the quality of evidence that is put forward by these so-called abduction proponents Sagan states: Well, its almost entirely anecdote. Someone say something happened to them… And, people can say anything. The fact that someone says something doesnt mean its true.

Doesnt mean theyre lying, but it doesnt mean its true… u need physical evidence that can be examined at leisure by skeptical scientists: ascraping of a whole ship, and the discovery that it contains isotopic ratios that arent present on earth, chemical elements form the so-called island of stabilty, very heavy elements that dont exist on Earth… all there are are stories. Still after all the UFO sightings, alien abductions, and government conspiracies, there still is no evidence that extra-terrestrial life has visited the Earth. Evertime any evidence comes up it never ends up being good enough to prove anything.
