The description is a kind of text, which we encounter especially in German lessons. The description is a kind of description, whereby personal sensations, ie feelings and thoughts, are linked with the description of a process or a situation. The essay is therefore subjective and is written in the present (present) as well as in the form of the ego (cf. I-narrator).
Accordingly, the description is related to numerous types of essays and is similar to the picture description, the description of the work and the description of the person. In contrast to these forms, however, this is not an objective description of a state of affairs or a comprehensive accuracy, but of letting the future reader participate in the perception of a situation.
This means that describing a situation must never be complete, but is limited to individual sensations. These can be, for example, odors, colors or noises. Accordingly, the description is certainly a snapshot of the situation. This can be compared with the recording of a camera, which holds only a very specific moment.
Such descriptions are important in the field of German and, on the other hand, in the context of a statement about certain events, as is necessary, for example, after an accident or an eye-contact report. It becomes clear that the description always has an extraordinary situation and is a mixture of facts and personal feelings.
Note: In this article, we would like to explain what preparations should be made as to how the structure of the text might look, what should be observed when writing the narrative, and a final example. We will begin with the preparations for writing.
Prepare the description
Regardless of which experience or concrete situation is to be described in the later article, it is useful to make some preparations. These can help us avoid writing unnecessary details while writing and avoiding unnecessary mistakes.
Remember the situation as closely as possible. You will usually take notes during the experience. These assigns you overclosure, such as thoughts, feelings, sense perceptions as well as actual sequences or objects and persons.
Note: In German lessons, it may happen that they have not actually experienced the situation, but only receive a picture and then write a fictitious description of an experience based on this picture. Then write down all the essential characteristics of the picture and sort by self-chosen categories.
In order to get an order afterwards, it is helpful to sort the whole. Here you can either assign the different point points to an object (for example, if there are several objects, you can assign them to the sensations), or they describe the image segment from one direction to the other; then arrange the points from left to right or from top to bottom.
Since a description is always subjective and often works with comparisons and metaphors in order to make the reader aware of the experience, you can also make the first notes. How do you recall individual aspects, which comparisons can be drawn (example: the cold shelves were cold as the Arctic, the colors were screeching) → style.
Tip: It is about recording impressions of a situation. On the fairground in front of a driving business this could look something like this: many people, loud shouting, colorful colors, lots of movement in the crowd, frightened and excited people, frightened little children, corrosive smell, unpleasant touches, crowds, anticipation.
Construction of the description
Once you have made all the preparations, it can actually go to writing. In advance, however, we would like to introduce you to a possible structure. This is kept short, as there are hardly any clear guidelines for the structure of the essay form and it is enormously dependent on the design itself.

Tip: Descriptions mean that something is vividly told. Accordingly, it should always be emphasized to describe vividly and in as much detail as possible. This means that different and striking adjectives should be used to make the experience experienceable → Characteristic properties (list)
