Persuasive Essay On Frankenstein

“If you want something you’ve never had, then you’ve got to do something you’ve never done”-Anonymous. There are some ideasin the world that are considered impossible, but as they all say nothing is impossible and neither is the idea of creating an monster name Frankenstein. To start with in the 1800’s girls being able to attend a medical school was a joke, but that did not stop Ingrid Vdw Frankenstein from fulfilling her dream of going to one and learning about the creation of our body and how to recreating one.

During this time girls were seen to have the roles of staying home and doing all the household chores, but not Ingrid, on the other hand though is Giselle Frankenstein who is an proper young lady. Such two different people yet they are both the daughter of Doctor Victor Frankenstein who is the creator of the monster Frankenstein. On the night of Ingrid and Giselle birth, her mother passes away while giving birth to them and their father disappears.

People believed that he was a man of knowledge, but was also full of craziness. People believed that his madness has killed him. 16 years after the birth of the two Frankensteins, Doctor Frankenstein body has been discovered in the Arctic which left the Frankenstein castle to be inherited by his two daughters. The girls turns 17 and they come to the castle to claim their inheritance not realizing what they will soon discover.

After a couple of weeks, when they were mostly settled down Giselle was busy planning a huge party to introduce themselves to the high class society, while Ingrid discovers her father’s journals that soon led her to the discovery of her father secret lab, his past, what has happened to him, and it also reveals the secret of the monster that has been chasing her and Giselle since their childhood.

This also soon eads to the discovery of Giselle been traumatized over the years because she always feel that there is a monster that has been following them and she soon starts facing different disturbing events which soon leads her to murdering people without her even knowing that she had murdered a couple of people. Days are passing by and Giselle is busy planning her party while ingrid soon falls for this retired Naval officer who was very young and not mentioning was very handsome, but had a nerve problem which led to hard skins and an replacement of an hand and a leg. Ingrid soon takes a challenge upon herself to fix her love, Walter.

She studied day and night all of her father’s journals, lab notes, his experiments, and books that has been sneakily borrowed from the medical school. Ingrid works on finding ways to help walter whose is now between life and death. Ingrid soon realise that history is repeating itself. Going back to Victor Frankenstein, this genius man created a monster named Frankenstein that soon went out of his control and started murdering Doctor Frankenstein’s dear ones and in fear of his daughters getting murdered he blew his farewell kisses to them and went to the castle to his secret lab so the monster would not find his two beloved daughters.

The monster then makes a deal on to let his people go if he created him someone to love and Doctor Victor accepted the offer and created another creation for the monster, but after he had finished creating the new creation he then realise this creation that he has created is his dead wife. He had made an replica of his beloved wife and out of jealousy Doctor Frankenstein takes the creation and dispose it and goes away to the arctic to hide away from the monster, which later he freezes in the arctic to death.

In revenge, of Doctor Frankenstein not fulfilling his promise the monster finds his two daughters and tries to take them away. Ingrid soon realise that she was, like recreating another creation to love. Ingrid experiment soon works helping Walter get better and the secret of her father also gets revealed, but the secret of Giselle that also she herself is unaware about leaks out through an EXPERIMENT OF artificial somnambulance. She is soon put in jail and Ingrid gets the love of her life, but who knows what other secrets lays in there future.

I believe that throughout the whole story Ingrid holds the most important role. She as an individual has a very strong character and persistence. She was also very brave. to begin with Ingrid is very persistence because Ingrid very clearly knows that she can not attend the medical school of Edinburgh because she is an female so she decides to attend it as a male. Ingrid persistence makes her dress up” in her Uncle Earnest large trousers belted under my armpits and his hat down over my ears”(97). Ingrid decides to dress up as a man to be allowed to this school.

This to me shows persistence because she is doing whatever it takes to attend this medical school to learn about the human body for her interest also to help Walter which already shows determination and also she is changing her gender just to fulfill this dream of hers which to me shows a lot of persistence. Furthermore, she also has a very strong character because when Giselle her twin sister gets hurt by this guy she takes an oath to punish him for his mistakes. According to Suzanne Weyn it states, ” Then I will go speak to Johann’s father myself. He can’t be allowed to get away with this. We’ll have him arrested”(125).

Ingrid in a way can be considered the man of the house cause she takes matter in her own hands very seriously and maturely and especially when it comes to her sister, it seems as if her strong, bold, manly character comes out and she is willing to do anything to get them punished for their wrongdoings. Ingrid is special and isn’t like most girls who are shy, but she is bold and strong and she shows her power through her actions. In addition, Ingrid is also very brave because she takes daring chances. In search of the guy that hurts Giselle Ingrid lands in an alley in which she discovers two guys giving a dead body to the medical school.

Ingrid gets caught spying on them and she makes up an excuse that she needs money and someone told her that she can find a job here. So Ingrid helps the two guys carry dead bodies out of the grave and deliver them to medical schools. (128-129). If you don’t call her brave for carrying dead bodies than I don’t know what to call her. She is very smart to find an excuse quickly, on top of that she carries heavy dead bodies with the other two with is crazy because under any circumstances I would have never done that.

Ingrid is an fascinating, strong, brave, and persistent character of her own. I believe that she is amazing just the way she is. In conclusion, As limmy lohnson once stated “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra” I believe that Ingrid is that little extra ordinary. She is an amazing character who does not break apart no matter what. Throughout the whole story she was brave, persistence, and strong and I believe that these characteristics of her gives her the honor to be called that extra between ordinary and extraordinary.
