A letter to David Rebelia

How are you? How is your family? Family, boy, I hate that word. Whenever I think of families, or whenever I see parents walking down the street with their children, I wonder, how will their life be. Will it be as controlled as mine? My family controls everything I do. So I had an idea, I was going to run to live like I wanted to live, by myself with no one to control my actions, and judge me by my flaws, and not my strengths. My parents were at a dinner party drinking their hearts out, till I decided could not take it no more. I was always alone, that’s when I’m he happiest, when I was not alone, my parents judged me, I hate them.

I was sick and tired of their remarks. I decided to take control of my life and leave. I went to my room, and quickly packed my belongings. I grinned, I was not too sure what to take, and what not to take. I smirked and grabbed the necessary things needed for me to survive on my own. I prayed for my parents not to come home. I had taken the stuff to my car. I started up the car anxiously and began to pull away, then I suddenly realized that my parents had come home. I quickly got out of the car and ran inside. I hid in the darkness praying that they would not turn on the lights.

They did not. I watched them go up that stairs in a slow, kind of drunk sort of way. As soon as they got to their room, I left. The drive was a very slow drive, I was thinking what they were doing. I wish I could just tell them how I felt. I could not. When I finally got to my destination, I looked around. I wish I could tell you where that is, but I am sorry. I just can not tell anyone. I began unloading my canoe and my belongings. I was in the canoe flowing toward the river, when suddenly out of nowhere, a waterfall appeared. I id not even have enough time to try to stop.

I was very afraid to die. I fell. I passed out and I awoke to a very beautiful women. She had told me that I had fallen from the waterfall, and broke a few ribs. She told me that if I was in the water a few minutes longer, I wouldn’t of survived. Her name is Mary. She is a very caring and generous lady. I can’t believe someone actually helped me. I wasn’t very civilized, in the forest I mean, so I wasn’t too sure how to take care of myself and my environment. Please take care of my parents until I come back, that is, if I come back. Sincerely Yours, Franklin Crabbe
