Chris and Keyon look into each other’s eyes and nod. Keyon looking into Chris’s green hazelnut eyes and Chris looking into Keyon’s coffee brown eyes. They pulled out their light bronze swords and got ready to battle. The Alfusa,Hades shadow minions, (al-foo-za) advanced surrounding the two boys and attacked. The two boys were overwhelmed and outnumbered, but they were cutting the monsters down as fast as they could. Their blades were just a blur of brown. They were parrying,slashing,stabbing, and blocking hits. The Alfusa just kept coming and coming,never ending amounts of them coming.
They boys were starting to get tired but they weren’t about to give up. But eventually there weren’t that many of them left and they retreated. Chris and Keyon,relieved, sat down back to back gasping for air. That was the biggest battle that they have ever had. Chris tired and hungry blows his long curly black hair out of his pale face. He gets up and stretches and stands to his full height 6’4”, Keyon also stands up to his full height 6’2”. Chris is a 16 year old kid that has a complicated life. He has had to live in secret his most of his life.
He has had to live in secret because he has Hades the Greek God and his shadow minions trying to kill him. Hades is trying to kill him because his Grandpa had stolen a ender pearl from him. An ender pearl is a thing that is used to get around any place faster and easier. All you have to do is step on it and say where you want to go. They attack him whenever they have the chance and he is unable to put his guard down otherwise he would not be alive. But he is not on his own, he has one friend. He has known that friend since he was three years old.
They met each other when they were playing on the playground and they played together going down the slide and swinging on the swings together. His friend is an African American named Keyon. Chris and Keyon have never left each other’s sides since they met each other. Keyon is the same age as Chris. They have both been in danger since they were five years old. Chris is an orphan, he never knew who his real parents were. Chris and Keyon have always had each other’s back in a fight. They are always ready to battle. Chris gets back from his flashback and looks around momentarily forgetting where he was at.
Then he remembered that he was sitting in his apartment with Keyon next to him playing games. It was early morning and Chris told Keyon to get off of the games so they could make breakfast. Keyon reluctantly got up and turned off his games. They got up and together they made a nice and simple breakfast consisting of eggs and sausages. Chris likes his eggs over-easy and Keyon likes his eggs scrambled because he doesn’t like runny yolks. They ate their breakfast and they decided to go outside and see if it was sunny. They like it better when it is sunny and warm outside.
They checked and it was a gray cloudy day but they were going to go outside anyway. They grabbed supplies such as food and water, along with their swords. They walked down the sidewalks. Chris and Keyon did not know what they wanted today. They were just hoping that they did not have to fight anything today. Both of them felt very lazy today and they got up really early in the morning so they are really tired. Chris and Keyon decide to go to the movies. They walk to the theatre corner and buy two tickets to Scary Movie Madness 4 and they walk in and it’s just about to start.
The movie is a horror and they thought it would be a good so far.. Chris and Keyon weren’t really scared because their life is scarier than most people can think of. After that movie they decide to go home. They walked down the lonely streets. But on the way home they get surrounded by the Alfuza. Chris and Keyon got ready to fight. When suddenly they a hear a deep and booming voice. They knew right away it must have been Hades. Hades had wanted to talk to them. He said,” I still don’t understand how you guys are alive, I have tried multiple times to try to kill you guys but you just never give up.
But this time I have better minions and I am also going to be trying to kill you personally now. ” So they Alfuza and Hades came close and closer. Chris and Keyon look at each other and nod their heads. They start fighting spinning around in a circle covering each other’s backs. Chris tells Keyon to duck and Chris cuts down one of the Alfuza. Keyon spins around in a circle and cuts down three or four of the Alfuza. Hades then tells the Alfuza to get back because it is his turn to try and kill the boys. Hades starts slashing at the boys with his black glowing magical sword.
Hades accidentally swings around and hits one of the Alfuza and they turn into dust. The sword turned any person it touches into dust. The boys then got very cautious making sure they didn’t get hit by the glowing black sword. The boys jabbed and stabbed at Hades but he blocked the hits with ease. But they found out that Hades had a soft spot – Hades isn’t very good at blocking his legs. The boys both slashed and stabbed at Hades legs and they hit him in his left leg and he was unable to stand. He was bleeding golden blood with flecks of gold sparkles.
He fell to the floor and dropped his sword and it slid a little ways, closer to the boys. Chris ran over and grabbed his shadow sword and cut off Hades head. Hades turned into a light colored dust statue and then the wind blew him away. The Alfuza suddenly turned into dust also. Chris and Keyon were so happy because now they would be able to live normal lives, Hades is now not chasing them anymore. They would be able to find new friends and do all the other things a normal person would be able to do. The friends would be able to get jobs and not have to worry about getting attacked every time they go outside.
Chris and Keyon decide to go back to school and finish high school. After that they go to the same college and they split up after college is over. Chris gets a job as a cop and Keyon gets a job as a lawyer. Neither one of them really talk to each other much now but they can’t ever forget about each other. Chris is doing really well as a cop and he has been able to arrest a couple of people in his second year because the first year was all about learning. Keyon was able to help and a few cases that he has had.
