Bryson DeChambeau caught the attention of golf players and enthusiasts alike when he won both the NCAA and U.S. Amateur title in the same year, a feat previously managed by a handful of players that include Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. Bryson Dechambeau Biography

DeChambeau was born Bryson James Aldrich DeChambeau on the 16th of September, 1993 in Modesto, California where he lived until the age of seven when his family moved to Fresno, California. It was during this time that he began playing the game of golf, attending Clovis East High School where he was a part of the school’s golf team. At the age of 16, in his sophomore year, DeChambeau got his first taste of victory by winning the California State Junior Championship.Upon graduation from high school in 2012, Bryson DeChambeau accepted an athletic scholarship to attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

While majoring in physics, DeChambeau competed for the school’s golf team and became the first person from the school to win the NCAA individual championship in June 2015. A few months later, he added the U.S. Amateur title to his collection and joined an elite list of players that have won both titles in the same year.Following that success, DeChambeau opted to join the PGA Tour as an amateur, making his debut at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. He also played in that year’s U.S. Open but missed the cut by four strokes, and in the Australian Masters where he was tied for runner-up.

In 2016, DeChambeau found out he was not going to be able to defend his NCAA title because his school had been banned from competing by the college athletic association. This prompted him to forgo his senior college season and turn professional in mid-April 2016.After putting pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Cobra-Puma Golf brand, Bryson DeChambeau made his professional golf debut at the RBC Heritage where he finished tied for fourth place and took home over $250,000. He then played at the U.S. Open where he managed a tied for fifteenth place finish to climb to 148 in the world ranking as he again took home more than $150,000.

DeChambeau then went on to get his first tournament victory at the DAP Championship which earned him a PGA Tour Card.In his first year on the PGA Tour, the young golfer was able to beat off competition from Patrick Rodgers to win the John Deere Classic in July 2017. His next victory came about a year later at the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio in June 2018 after he saw off Kyle Stanley and An Byeong-hun in a sudden-death playoff. Two months later, he won two more tournaments in the space of one week; first The Northern Trust in late August 2018 and then the Dell Technologies Championship in early September 2018.

Bryson DeChambeau looks to be in a loving relationship with Instagram model Sophia Phalen Bertolami. There are conflicting reports as to when exactly the two began seeing each other, however, it was in June 2018 that Bertolami officially confirmed she was dating DeChambeau to the public by posting a picture of her and her beau on Instagram.Bertolami, who has a degree in Kinesiology and nutrition from Chapman University in Orange, California, is said to be currently pursuing a nursing degree at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to her studies, Bertolami also owns a bikini line that caters to busty women which she partnered with LA ISLA to create.The aspiring nurse, who enjoys flaunting her swimwear on her Instagram page, has in the past been linked to some other high profile athletes. She was said to have been in relationships with baseball players Danny Muno and Michael Anthony Napoli.

Height is said to not play a significant role in enhancing the ability of a golfer because even though a taller player might have a bigger swing arc, they could suffer from having control and timing. But with a height of 6 feet 1 inch or 1.85 m, Bryson DeChambeau finds himself to be of average height in modern standards, which should give him the balance he needs to be successful.
