The New Look Life is full of surprises and difficulties. A college can make your life are changing after you walked into the campus at first day in college. I used to think about the class in college which is different from in high school. Those people who are older than me, they have told me that college would be new life for me.
I would never imagine that the first day of my college would be like that. It is really a new life for me and I am so excited about it. There are a lot of people in my class, but I do not know anyone. Everyone is busy with their own things and no one cares about others. I feel so strange and lost in this new environment.
The professor comes into the classroom and begins to talk about the syllabus. I listen carefully and try to understand what he is saying, but I cannot catch up with his speed. Then he asks us to introduce ourselves to each other. When it is my turn, I stand up and say hello to everyone, but no one responds to me. They just keep talking and laughing with their friends. I sit down and feel so embarrassed. I think to myself, “What am I doing here?”
After the class, I go to my dorm and meet my roommate. She is a friendly girl and we become good friends quickly. We go to the cafeteria together and have lunch. Everyone is sitting in groups and no one talks to us. I feel so isolated and alone. I start to wonder if this was a mistake. Maybe I should have gone to another college where I would have known someone. But it’s too late now and I have to make the best of it.
The first day of college is tough, but I know that I will get through it. It’s a new experience and I am determined to make the most of it. Who knows, maybe I will even meet some new friends along the way.
I was clueless about the differences between high school and college because I never attended high school. It all seemed so foreign to me, and I didn’t understand anything during my first year or on my first day. From what I gathered before starting college, people told me that I would have to study harder and lose many of friends- similar to what happened in high school. But mostly, things that caught my attention were related to the course material, education itself, and different campuses.
My decision was made to go to college, and I would never look back. The first day of high school is filled with new experiences. For me, everything was so different and strange. I felt like a fish out of water. I had no idea what was going on or where I should go. I didn’t know anyone, and I felt very alone. High school is a very big place, and it can be quite overwhelming.
There are so many people and so much to do. It’s easy to feel lost and confused. However, there are also many wonderful things about high school. There are opportunities to meet new people, learn new things, and have new experiences. High school is a time of exploration and discovery. If you keep an open mind, you’re sure to have a great time.
They explained to me what college is like. I had assumed that the gap between high school and university would not be significant, but when I first arrived on campus and saw all of the fresh students, I was terrified. My first class surprised me because it had only 20-30 people in it, and none appeared to know one another.
I was used to being in classes with over 100 students. The teacher didn’t seem to mind that we didn’t know each other, and he went around the room introducing everyone. I made some friends in that class, and we hung out together during lunch. After the first day, I was no longer as scared of college life, and I was looking forward to the rest of the year.
I went to class early in order to obtain a decent seat close to the instructor and meet my classmate. That was fortunate since I just met a high school pal from across the country in my debut class. As a result, the class is no longer daunting, and everything appears brighter than ever before. After the first session, I simply knew another thing: college students didn’t want to make friends like we did in high school.
At college, people preferred staying to themselves and keeping their social circle restricted to a few individuals.
I had made friends on the first day of high school, and I would say that it was one of the best decisions that I have made in my life. These friends stuck by me through thick and thin, and they were always there for me when I needed them. In fact, they are still some of my closest friends today. If you’re lucky enough to make friends on the first day of high school, cherish them and hold them close to your heart.
In their last year at university, my students wanted to learn more about the media studies course so I made a recording of the lesson and distributed it in class. They came to class to record the lecture and then departed without talking afterwards. College course classes are considerably different from high school courses. First, college lessons take longer than high school ones; they last two hours each day. Because some professors can’t hear all of them at once, they allow us to collaborate on group projects instead of each student having their own work.
Group projects are beneficial because we get to learn about different people and how they think. It also allows for more creativity since we can bounce ideas off of each other. College professors also tend to be more engaging than high school teachers; they encourage discussion and debate in class which really gets the gears going in our heads.
Overall, I found that the first day of college was quite different from what I was used to in high school but it definitely had its perks. I’m looking forward to learning new things and meeting new people in the coming weeks!
